Found this place by accident. It wasn t a good accident. Food was very dry, and the sauce was awful. Service was good, and folks were friendly, but it s very expensive. I have eaten BBQ in 48 states, and this by far was supposed to be the best in Waco. Sorry folks I can t say it s the worst in Waco, or the best, but I will say it s one thing to say the best, and another to prove it

This place has a meeting room which I have been to several times for various meetings. The food is tasty, but I found that the brisket can be pretty dry here, also I used their BBQ sauce on a sandwich and it gave me awful indigestion. I think that Vitek's is way better than this place, too bad my other fave BBQ joint closed up. They do serve Dublin DP here out of the soda fountain, which is neat :)

I LOVE barbeque and Uncle Dan's is the BEST I've ever had. Sadly, I don't live in Waco, but every time I go to or past it, I throw my cooler in the car and as I pass through, I buy as much of it as I can afford. It freezes great. Also, the staff is wonderful - friendly and helpful. I've never had anyone say they were disappointed when I serve them Uncle Dan's. It's worth driving a long, long way to have the best barbeque in Texas, and of course, that means the best in the WORLD. You rock, Uncle Dan!!!!

The brisket is tender, but quite dry - same with the ribs. Their smoked turkey is excellent and they have the be-all end-all of white potato salad! I also really like their sauce, which has a medium thickness and good spice balance. I'm always disappointed by the dry brisket, but for turkey, sausage, and sides, this is the place.

food was dry and tasted like it was left over food. the service is slow and over priced. go to jaspers it is better and cheaper. they took care of me and made me feel like i was family.

Uncle Dan's is a lifesaver! Great food and you just pick it up and bring it home. I love the BBQ and love the fact that I don't have to make it!

Uncle Dans Rib House

Uncle Dans Rib House is the best BBQ iv'e ever had. 2 of my fellow workers and I eat there every Wednesday night from 8 to 9 pm and we don't ever miss the meal. The only thing missing that i can think of, is a pillow. They don't serve that. Hats off to Uncle Dans Rib House. A truly uncorporate fine old school Texas resturant, and i will help support them as long as I am able to go to Waco.

Best BBQ in the whole state of Texas!!!

Uncle Dan Henderson is the king of all BBQ. His restaurant has a very wide array of selections, from barbecued beef, sausage, ribs, turkey, ham, to chicken and burgers and lots of other great food. The side orders are just as tasty as the meat dishes, with 3 or 4 choices of beans, 2 different types of potato salad, cole slaw, fresh veggies, and the absolute tastiest barbecue sauce you've ever had! The dessert menu includes pies, cheesecake, pudding, and of course, cobbler. Not the cheapest place to eat in town, but it's not too hard on the wallet. My wife and I can only afford to eat there a few times per month, but it's worth it to the last penny!
