hometown pride with a smile
The local Dairy Queen, all small towns across the US have them. This is one of the last landmarks of a day gone forever. It is truely the place where everyone knows your name and even has a cup with that name on it. The old timers go for coffee. The young go for the great comfort food we all have come to love so much. Along with that famous hamburger and fries comes the local flavor. The smiles of those who live next door. The young men and women across America that are out there working for home and family. And yes, for their home town pride. They are not thinking about who is watching them as they do the prep work for the day. Or even stay late to put the finishing touches on the floors and tables for the next work day. They are working hard to serve their community with a smile. Where else can you get that smile that crosses the face of everyone in the room when the wait person holds that blizzard upside down and it doesn't splatter all over the floor? Am I right? Oh, yes...I love Dairy Queen cause it makes me smile and I feel like everyone working there loves me. It has not turned into the fast paced food chain that makes you come to the counter, and gets the order wrong every single time. Nope, cause at Dairy Queen we are all FAMILY. If yours isn't this way maybe you should visit ours...welcome stranger.
