Luigis Pizza Italian Restaurant
Luigiac2s Pizza and Italian Restaurant was opened in 1999 by Luigi, Biko, and Rocky Begaj. The three brothers share the dream that Luigi had when he came over from Italy with $100 in his pocket, a recipe for homemade marinara sauce and no entrepreneurial experience. The brothers say acoeWe owe denton, because Denton put us where we are at. We always wanted to open our own business and serve our very own recipe because we knew if you do things right, people will love it.ac Today we still run the business just that way. We offer dine-in, take-out, and catering. We offer free delivery to the near surrounding area. Further distances require an order of $50 or more.
The prices are very good. You get a lot of food for the price, but the food itself is just average. The giant seasoned yeast rolls they bring to the table are very tasty, but almost too big. The garlic toast varieties are basically a hoagie roll split, buttered and toasted, cheese and/or tomatoes are possible options. We didn't know they were bringing rolls or we wouldn't have ordered the garlic toast.
The pepperoni pizza was acceptable with a thin crust, but nothing special. The manicotti, canneloni and lasagna combo offered a nice array of flavors. The manicotti was the most distinct and savory of the 3 and I would order that again by itself. Their marinara sauce didn't really stand out except for its acidity. The cheese sauces fared much better.
The room is painted in a way to evoke some of the great Renaissance works with some of the artwork flowing around structures like windows and columns. The service was fine. It was a pleasant enough experience for a neighborhood restaurant in a strip mall.
These guys are crooked. Do not use your debit or credit card here. They over charged me by 60.00 on my statement and when I went to clear it up flat out called me a liar. I had to file a claim with my bank to resolve the situation. Food OK but not worth 60.00 tip!
I've been eating at Luigi's for over five years now. The staff and owners are very friendly. Service is always excellent and the food is made to perfection. Absolutely my favorite Italian food in Denton. The decor is all hand painted and transforms you to Italy as you walk in the door. Pricing is right on point, and if it's not on the menu - ASK and you shall receive.
Amazing! Affordable! I am embarrassed that I have been in Denton for more than 10 years and just recently stumbled upon this oasis hidden in a strip mall! The staff and family that runs it are so efficient, and attentive. Put this menu on your fridge!!!! i have a bunch floating around the house!
The closest thing to a New York style pizza (pie) from someone who knows about New York pizza. The crust is thin with a lot of topping. I have been delighted by their pasta as well. I am a big fan of to go orders which take 15-20 minutes. The service is always top notch. Please take note that the owners are from New York and can be a bit assertive and prideful when you have an opposing veiwpoint. Nevertheless, do not let it interfere with the reason you chose Luigis... their food.
