A lot of restaurants in Denton may be nicer in terms of their facility.
A few restaurants in Denton may have better food.
But none can say that they have consistently delivered awesome food for next to nothing prices at speeds that boggle the mind for the last 15+ years with a smile the entire time. El Matador is a Denton institution it's as simple as that. The restaurant perfectly exhibits what folks in Denton want...good food, little fuss, nice prices, and friendly faces.
My family is here EVERY Friday night, and my weekends wouldn't be the same with out El Matadors.
Try the chicken enchiladas, the fajita nachos, the taco salad or their margaritas and you won't be disappointed.
I took my snobby and highly discriminating coworkers here for lunch when we were on that side of town. They were skeptical about mexican food at a strip mall. They were amazed by the great service, how quickly the food was served, the large portions, and the comfortable atmosphere. The food was great.
This place is almost a classic to Denton. They have been around a while, and there's a reason for it. This place is great. Their prices aren't too bad and food is tasty. Their service is great. Your drinks will remain full, and their mixed drinks aren't bad either. Plus you get your food at super speed. They have a variety of different items to choose from on their menu, so everyone is bound to find something they like. This place is good for dates to family dinners. I rate this place a 5 star restaurant of Denton!
My mom and I wanted Mexican food so I did a search on
Yahoo! and saw that El Matador Restaurant had good
So we drove over and from the outside it did not look like
much.....But inside it looked great!
We were seated right away, it was during lunch, and
waited on promptly.
The food was excellent and so was the service.
We will be going back.
I don't usually bother to fill out reviews, but I owe this fine establishment my thanks: FIVE STARS!!!!!!! Best mexican food in town. Staff super nice. I've been going there for years, and I am hooked :)
I remember going to El Matador when it first opened when I was a kid and they had this dude with his guitar singing and it was awful, but the food was so great we kept coming back...Eventually, they took the guy off the menu!
I highly recommend this place if you love Mexican food!
