Railhead was rated as excellent by the Zagat Survey and has received a certificate from the Texas legislature for serving the best barbecue in Texas. The menu is what you would expect to find at a quality Texas barbecue restaurant. Succulent smoked ribs are rosy and ready to fall off the bone. The savory beef brisket can be ordered sliced or chopped. Barbecued salami, chicken, bologna, ham and turkey round out the rest of the meat menu. A wide variety of beer is available, too. To get your food, you go to the bar and place your order, then bring it back to the table yourself.
Was really dissappointed in the Thanksgiving Turkey Breast I ordered from the Willow Park location . It was nothing more than the deli style turkey over the counter at Brookshires. I expected the REAL turkey BREAST with the bone in. It was tasteless and slimy. Even the BarBQue sauce wasnt as expected. We won t be back.
As far as I'm concerned Ft Worth is short on GOOD BAR B QUE restaurants! We have been going to Railhead for years...simply because it is convient and mostly good. But, stopped for a late 8:00pm dinner on Memorial Day only to be served the 'Special Pulled Pork Sandwich' that was the worst ever!!! Meat was all dried out, fries where like the end of the bag and very greasy...had been cooked earlier and tasted like it. At that time of the day they should be either giving it away or charging 1/2 price. I'm giving it a 3 star rating because of the ice cold beer.
We love it!!! Railhead has the best ribs I ever put in my mouth. I have tried ribs in many restaurants and none can touch Railheads. The sides are not that great but who cares with such great ribs & BBQ. They have the coldest beer in town. We have been eating at Railhead since they were on Victory and will still be eating there in the future.
It does get a pretty noisy when it is full of students especially when they have won a game.
This is probably the worst barbeque I have had. I could barely eat the chopped beef sandwich. The sides, beans and cole slaw were terrible. The waitress ignored us for about twenty minutes. I will never go here again.
If it's meant to be...i fell in love with lauren 4 seconds after i met her a month ago and never stopped thinking about her if she ever get this message maybe it's meant to be i hope so i miss her very much she's short and is beautiful with an amazing face i can't think straight ...don't know why i'm writing this just had to tell someone if you ever see her she's in the bar area tell her bo said hi.....
LOVE Railhead BBQ. Their sauce is very good; the sauce can make or break any bbq in my opinion. The sides aren't the best but that's okay the meat makes up for it. The service is good; about like any other bbq place i've ever been to. Relaxed and casual.
