El Rancho Grande
This family owned and operated Mexican restaurant has been in business more than 20 years and the chef, as well as some of the waiters, has been there since the beginning. It resides in a restored building with loft ceilings and the dining room usually crowds with an assortment of regulars. Only fresh ground corn goes into the tortilla chips and corn tortillas made here daily. You will enjoy the traditional Mexican entrees such as chicken tacos and enchiladas, Nachos Grande, and chicken or beef enchiladas.
As a native Texan from Fort Worth, I've experienced every level of Mexican food from the finest restaurants to the taco truck in the parking lot. I must say, this is the best food, by far, that I've ever had... not to mention the best Mexican food ever. Having been all over the country, and most of Texas, that's saying alot.
The environment and mood is authentic and easy-going, the wait-staff is outstanding, the service is the most prompt in the business... and best of all, it's easy on the wallet.
Be sure to order the Nachos Grandes for an appetizer (I usually get it as a meal). Simply awesome.
Not to be missed!
My husband and I have been going here since 93' and we will keep going. It is the best place for tex-mex. Everyone we have told to try it are still going to this day. When my grandparents and uncle come down from Arizona they always want to go for the 'Best tex-mex'.
Our kids are very picky eaters but you couldnt tell it when they go here..They inhale everything..Its hard not to get full on their chips and hot sauce--They are wonderful!
Yum! This is some of the best mexican food in town, and that's saying ALOT when you live in Fort Worth! The chips and salsa are too die for, and along with the beans and rice. Every entree you order is superp, even the more traditional mexican food like carne guisado and aroste com pollo. The food arrives very quickly, and I've never had bad service. My only complaint is the parking- it can be a challenge to find a space during the lunch and dinner rush.
I live in Bedford, TX and drive all the way to El Rancho Grande to eat all of the time because it is just that good. The food is awesome. This is by far the best mexican food resturant that I know of in the metroplex.
Everything is good from the Tortilla Soup to the Margaritas, but to truly taste the best the world has to offer try the beef enchiladas, or Carne Guisada.
Anyone who wants to see a well managed, customer focused business in action, watch the owners and staff at this place. Satisfaction guaranteed.
I have been going to this restaurant for over 30 years. They have the best mexican food in town. All of their chips are home made, the salsa is homemade, and any tostada shells are as well. Because of this, the salsa somedays is hotter than others as well as the chili sauce spread over tamales, which are to die for. I highly recommend going here..And when you do, ask for Boy as a waiter.
