Excellent choice for quality steaks and Fort Worth atmosphere! I have taken employees for special occasions. We recently took a well traveled vendor out for drinks/dinner. We were impressed with the flavor and tenderness of everyones steak. A great place to get great steaks without spending $$$$ A good cut is avg price of $25 Staff is friendly and efficient.

My name is Bryan and I am the General Manager for H3 Ranch. I would like to respond to the review on 10/4/2010 and set the record straight. It is claimed in the 'review' that we have started using lower quality meat recently in an effort to increase profits. H3 Ranch has used the same specifications and suppliers since it's opening in 1998. In fact, the vast majority of our beef is Certified Angus, a fact we do not advertise. So our guests are actually getting better quality beef than they think they are. Also the majority of our guests are ranchers or have ranching backgrounds. We take their opinions very seriously and have not heard from them that we 'have gone down hill.' The chances that this review was written by a competitor or disgruntled former employee are very high, in my opinion. I have attempted to reach this person to ask about their experience personally via email, to no avail. Thanks and see ya'll soon.

Used to be very good, but the steaks were grisly and not tasty... Our kind waiter told us that the General Manager had started going for less expensive cuts of meat (they now use select whereas they used to buy high choice)... He said this is an effort to increase profit margins and he had been hearing many similar complaints from long time patrons...

They don't serve SWEET TEA!!! This is the reason I gave them four stars instead of five. Very affordable compared to Cattleman's, and in my opinion better steaks than those served up at Del Frisco's uptown- without the wallet-busting bill! We take customers out to H3 every year when in town for a sporting goods show, and it's become our favorite place to entertain clients because the food is great, and thus far service has been excellent too. Now, if I could find a place that serves a decent breakfast (biscuits, brown gravy, grits and southern sausage) and makes sweet tea in Ft. Worth, I'd be a monkey's uncle!

THE BEST STEAK EVER
By DarrenH, 5/5/09
The filet mignon was the best I or my husband have EVER eaten! The waiter brought the sour cream, cheese, and chives to the table and put it on the potato and let me say when that amount was enough. The waitress was smiling and pretty and friendly. The only negative was the bartender got too busy, cause they had a party in the bar area, and my Malibu Sunrise took about 5 minutes to arrive, but all in all, I loved it! See the buffalo heads on one side of the wall, and on the other, see the back end of it-cool. We went on a Monday evening, still tables available. from Hot Springs, ARK

This is a superb restaurant, great food, great atmosphere, great service and very reasonable prices. My girlfriend and I make it there 2-4 times a month for dinner.

My wife and I were in San Francisco two years ago and ate at two highly recommended restaurants on Fisherman's Wharf for the steak and lobster. The food was decent in both places but didn't live up to the price tag. The weekend after we returned we ate at H3 and both agreed that nothing we had in San Fran was even close. We eat there about once a month. Great for breakfast too.

Cheapskates
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/29/08
If you want quality steaks, you're not going to get it for cheap. Especially with the great ambiance of H3, $25 is nothing. The flaming tenderloin is to die for and is the best steak i have ever eaten. It was $35 and worth every penny.

Oh my God, this place is a blast from the past with some of the best food in Fort Worth. I eat there often and think the mexicali steak is a perfect lunch. If you order a burger, asked to have it cooked over the hickory, they dont mind and its incredible. Also check out the spinach with blue cheese and pine nuts. Thanks Brian for running a top notch show.

My hubby took me to H3 for my birthday dinner. Food was AWESOME! The steaks were so juicy, no steak sauce was even needed (thats rare for me). My husband had the Mexicali and it was soo juicy and delicious, just like mine. Don't forget to order the Pecan pie fro desert, it was the perfect end to the evening!
