Description
Housed in a rejuvenated area in downtown Fort Worth's medical district, the Mexican Inn has been around for decades. Its reputation for getting people in and out quickly is a plus with the area business lunch crowd. The food is a combination of old standards done right. Selections include beef and cheese enchiladas, Chile rellenos and beef, and chicken strip salad in a homemade tortilla shell bowl.
PLEASE BE AWARE IF YOU ARE INJURED IN A MEXICAN INN CAFE OR SPRING CREEK BBQ. THEY WILL NOT BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR MISTAKE!!!!!!!

Mexican Inn is a well known Fort Worth Mexican restaurant with several locations. The one in the Medical District is convenient to all the hospitals downtown. The most unique feature of Mexican Inn restaurants is the chips. Instead of being the typical tortilla chips they are shaped like Fritos. You either love them or hate them. It took me a while to get used to them but now I find myself having cravings for Mexican Inn chips and salsa! The food is decent and the restaurant is usually busy during the lunch hour.
We were at the Mexican in by the Ballpark, Arlington. We ordered Chicken enchiladas and Chimichangas.
The tortilla chips were dripping in grease. The filling inside the enchilidas was sparse. The dishes were skimpy and comparable to a fast food Mexican Resturant only more expensive.
I remembered Mexican Inn from years ago. I always went to the one on Lancaster. It had always been the best place for great Mexican food. We were terribly disappointed in this experience. The resturant was ordinary but new and clean. I wouldn't recommend the resturant food.
The Chips and Hot sauce is bad plus the food is way too greasy. Sub par food for sure. Cheap lunch speacials if that is important but Id pay a little more for better food.
THe food and Service used to be good. Since Spring Creek BBQ bought Mexican Inn, the food and service has declined. The waitstaff stands around laughing and joking while you sit and wait for chips salsa and a drink. The food was a bit tastless. Not the good ole Mexican food it should be. Spring Creek BBQ is into the teenager non value non family stuff. Maybe they want to drag Mexican Inn down the tubes with them.
The food here is horrible! Even the chips and hot sauce were bad. If you like fritos and Pace Picante, then this is the place for you.I am not sure what else to say, the food tastes like El Patio frozen dinners.
Positives: The beer was cold
