We had reservations for 4 and arrived on time but there was no table available and we had to wait 15 minutes. The restaurant seating is crowded and was continually bumped into while eating by servers or other customers. The tables are simply too close together so it's impossible to have a romantic dinner in this restaurant. The food is average and the service was less than average. The waiter ignored us several times when asking for refills and did not return when asked.

Love Lucile's! Been going there since it opened at least 4-5 times a year. Love the Crabfest; love the Lobsterama! It's our go-to place to take out-of-town guests because it has something for everyone's tastes. Martinis are kept chilled in tiny carafes in tiny ice buckets, so you can fill your glass without the contents warming up. Prices are reasonable and service is always good.

Fabulous Lobster Bisque
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/13/10
Lucile's has a cute, quaint, upscale diner feel to it. I love coming here when I'm in town. The lobster bisque is absolutely amazing! If you order nothing else from this diner, be sure to order the bisque.

A trip from Dallas to Fort Worth ALWAYS means lunch at Lucille’s. We’ve been going there for decades and still love it. Our choice is usually the lobster bisque sometimes with a salad, sometimes with the wood roasted chicken pizza...and often with iced tea. I’m never disappointed in anything re: the food; but sometimes the service is a bit more like the Europeans. Doesn’t matter...It’s a lovely place with big windows curtained in lace, and green and white checked table cloths. Right off Camp Bowie at Bryce, Lucille’s has an annual Lobsterama featuring great lobster at reasonable prices. Just the thought of Lucille's makes me smile and I always chuckle when I see the sign outside the restrooms: “Many a bachelorship has been wrecked on a permanent wave.” My only regret is that it’s not in Dallas and I’m always too full for dessert.

I had read some mixed reviews before going to Lucile's. I now know I will NEVER go back again!! Service was mostly to blame for this poor review. The food was not terrible, but nothing to write home about either. Terribly overpriced!! Their "ceasar" dressing shouldn't even be classified as such; more like a vinagrette. I would have been better off bringing in my own Kraft bottle of dressing. They were very stingy with their bread and acted put out when asked for more (we were given one prior to asking for more). They would bring out a basket and hand the rolls out one at a time to each person...really!! The martini that I had was $8.00 and was watered down. We had to go to the bar to order a drink because there was not a waiter/waitress around to take a drink order. It took 25 minutes for the Pina Coloda after the bartender stated it would take 5 minutes. The service was SLOW and we were not checked on hardly ever. The restaurant was not even busy!! One particular waitress needs more training in customer care and body language. I cannot say enough about how terrible this restaurant is due to it's customer service!! If you don't like to be bothered, with anything, during your meal, then Lucile's is the place for you!!

Happened to go there again after 8 years! It is still good as ever! We ordered the chicken fried steak with a baqked potato, which rates equal to or better then Mary's in Strawn Texas and George's in Waco! We really enjoyed every morsel ! We recommend it highly! Service was great by the way.

If you like food from a can this is the place for you. A neighborhood restaurant that has not made it out of the 70's. Another restaurant that thrives for whatever reason I don't know. Overrated to say the least. Please don't make me come back.
