El Asadero Mexican Steak House

Description

Housed in an antique red brick building overlooking the historic Stockyards , this family-oriented establishment exudes a fresh, almost eccentric essence that welcomes all. The tempo is set in motion by the friendly wait staff, who are lively and conversational. Of course, there is also the fresh, homemade food. The traditional Tex-Mex menu in El Asadero has several surprises and tasty alternatives including the green enchiladas, plus an array of specialty meat selections. All are marinated and charbroiled Mexican-style, and most are topped with peppers and unique salsas.

I have to agree!!! This little Mexican restaurant was absolutely great. Besides the menudo, the salsa, and vege soup, the wait staff was impeccable - I'm a sucker for good service. I highly recommend you experience this diamond in the rough for yourself!!!!!!!!!!

Love this place. The salsa, the catfish the mole, the green chicken enchiladas, everything. I have not had a miss here. Love it!! My #1 pick for Mexican/Tex-Mex in FW.

El Asadero Mexican Steak House was disappointing
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/31/09
El Asadero was recommended to us, so I expected great. It was pretty good. It's a small place, and quite ordinary inside, and the service was average. I tried a drink called a michilada (not sure if I'm spelling that right) that was recommended...it was horrible! All in all, I don't know that I would go back.

El Asadero Mexican Steak House is good but come for the lunch
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/28/09
Great atmosphere, service is average but the food is awesome! they have a large varity of Mexican dishes, the lunch specials are a great value and the rest of the menu can be a little pricey so come for the lunch

Best In Tarrant County!
By Tammy N., 7/4/08
Some time ago, my wife and I embarked on a mission, that mission being to eat at every Mexican Restaurant in Tarrant County. It took us some 5 years to accomplish this noble goal, the last year or so, just visiting the NEW MEXICAN restaurants that had opened up since we began. Having said all that, WE EACH AGREED ON EL ASADERO BEING THE NUMBER ONE MEXICAN RESTAURANT IN ALL OF TARRANT COUNTY...in my wife's words, "El Asadero is THE BEST...and then there are ALL THE REST!" I agree!

Best kept secret in Fort Worth. Their fajitas are the best around. Service is great with friendly staff. Love the chips and salsa. It's the first Mexican restaurant I recommend to locals and out of town guests.

This is the absolute favorite place for me to eat Mexican food. My in laws came to town from west TX and stated emphatically, this is real food. All of the dishes we have tried are awesome. I like liver and onions!!! The salsa is indescribable and be careful if you don't like hot.... it is really even hotter and better when you take some home and keep it a day.

Loved it!
By Gwen, 6/25/07
If you like good & spicy Tex Mex, this place is for you! I had this restaurant suggested by two unrelated friends, and enjoyed every bite. I found out that the Cleburne location is owned by the same family, so that was good news to me. I'm already planning my next trip to Northside for some good food!
