Description

Located on the historic brick-lined portion of Camp Bowie Boulevard, this upscale neighborhood sandwich shop attracts local Texas Christian University students. The casual ambiance is perfect for families, as well as couples out for dinner and a movie. Tasty burgers, a variety of sandwiches and excellent onion wings are served in a busy dining room. The Fried Dill Pickles, sliced pickles deep-fried to perfection, are a house favorite.

What once was a local hangout is about to become a burger-chain fern bar... Back in the day, when Carroll O'Connor and Patrick O'Neal first 'incepted' this restaurant --it was an alternative environment for showbyz types who wanted New York ambience in Beverly Hills... Will the Rick's crowd return to their little brick cottage on The Bowie? It all depends... If the food keeps it's quality --without overcharging... It just might... Time will tell.......................

I love Rick;'s

Ricks's is an excellent place for hamburgers, deep-fried pickles and related food. The pickles are wonderful and the burgers are very good. The bar area (in the back) is a wonderful place with very friendly attendants and bartenders. It has a very nice crowd of locals. Everytime I visit Ft Worth, I stop at Rick's. I love the art district and the brick street (Camp Bowie). It is a great place to grab food and a drink before heading to DFW for a trip back home.
