In short, The service was slow, the waiter ased us what salad we wanted and never delivered it. The food was bland and tasteless and beer is $6.00 a bottle. We had a quick $90.00 lunch. I would rather have handed the money to a pan handler.
Thai Chili Southlake is one of my favorite Asian restaurants. The food is wonderful, but the service is SLOW and sometimes inattentive. However, if you have time to kick-back for a leisurely meal, check out the lovely dishes at Thai Chili. My favorites: The Thai Dumplings (steamed) and the Pan-Fried Flat Noodles (beef). I like the fact that the menu lists “heat levels” you can request for your dishes to personalize them more to your liking. The coconut milk soup appetizer is very delicious! The wait staff is friendly, although the restaurant managers appear to have trouble scheduling the right number of staff to accommodate lunch crowds. Everyone I’ve introduced to the restaurant is impressed with the food and wants in when I get take-out to bring back to the office. And speaking of that… their packaging of To-Go orders is good, keeping food from spilling and keeping it warm. If they could just manage to staff the dining room properly, they’d be darn-near perfect!
My husband and I have gone to Thai Chili for 6 years. We even had our wedding rehearsal dinner at Thai Chili. Needless to say we LOOOVE the food. The owner is fantastic and sweet. The service can get slow on a busy night, but we never mind waiting. We are usually at the restaurant weekly. If you love Thai food you will love Thai Chili. The masamam chicken is wonderful and i love eight angels. The Chicken Coconut is soooooo good.
Went in for dinner on a Saturday night. The place was packed, literally, and there was only one waiter on staff. Service was horrible and slow, it took 45 minutes from the time we were seated and got our drinks for the waiter to take our dinner order, and another 45 minutes to get our food. The couple next to us actually got up and left, after very rudely chewing the waiter out (which I felt was inappropriate, as it was clear that he was doing the best he could with that many tables). The ambiance of the restaurant was a bit disappointing, decor in the back is chintzy. The boothes are nice, although we didn't have the fortune of getting one, we were at a table.
Overall, a marginal restaurant and a negative experience.
