Silver Fox - Grapevine, Grapevine

What a horrible Friday night we had in Grapevine attempting to entertain another couple from Dallas. On a recent visit to Silver Fox, we experienced not just mediocre food, but horrible service, and were subjected to a group of very unruly patrons sitting next to us. We complained to the manager, who chose to do nothing. We then asked these people if they would simply hold it down, but their response was adolescent. It got worse, for as these people left the restuarant, they cursed at us. We then brought this to the attention of the owner, Nicholas Garvey, who had the audacity to question the validity of what occurred. Unfortunately, as I engaged Mr. Garvey in conversation, he then admitted he know these people who were ruining our evening. These pathetic individuals, were not just bothering us, but disturbing everyone in the restaurant. It is too bad Mr. Garvey, that you allow such people to frequent your restaurant. We have gone to your restaurant many times for pleasure and to entertain clients, but never will again. I give you zero stars in all categories, including integrity. I give you one star for I cannot post this review without at least one star.

My husband and I went to your Mother's Day special. We are thrilled that Châteaubriand has made its way to Texas. The meat was excellent and the service was good too. However, there would be one way to improve even more on this experience; to serve it with Béarnaise Sauce. We asked our waitress, if we could order it separately but she said that it was not available. Sincerely, Rose

Fabulous steaks and side dishes, including the very best salad I think I've ever tasted. Our waiter was prompt and attentive, but never hovered or intruded. Water glasses were refilled timely, dishes & silverware taken away, crumbs removed--very good service overall. As in most restaurants, wine was pricey, but there is an excellent cellar, and knowledgeable advice from the staff. Overall a wonderful place for a special evening.

I noticed that most people did not enjoy this place, however I think that it is wonderful. I have a waiter and chef that I always use and they are always wonderful and the food is outstanding! Its not cheap, but it is well priced. I highly recomend it.

I love a good steak ,and I will say that they had good steak, but it was just that, only good, I've had better. The restaurant itself is well done with a nice cozy atmosphere, but the service was ridicuously slow, conserve your drinks, because you may or may not get a refill. I know there are good and bad waitstaff, and I would normally give a restaurant a second try, but for the price of a meal here you should EXPECT outstanding service, but that was not the case. If your trying to impress a first date or just have the money (which in that case you are probally not reading this review) maybe think about it, but you can find better food at a much better price someplace else.
