To appreciate other Mexican Restaurants
I appreciate Cafe Pulido for how it can remind me why I like my favorites Mexican restaurants. I stopped by Pulido's Cafe while off my normal lunchtime routine. Leaving Pulido's, I couldn't understand why they had clientele at all. I ordered a #8 with the choice of queso sauce. All I got was a side order of queso and later, the check. After finally getting the #8, the lunch chili relleno, the queso sauce was not cheesey with barely detectable onion or green chilies. The chili relleno had an overcooked piece that not even a knife could penetrate. The cheese in the relleno, which I thought was supposed to be beef (the regular menu rellenos were only beef but I guess the lunch is only cheese) was very tough. How can you have tough cheese and impenetrable corn batter on relleno and stay in business?
