Campo Verde, Arlington

Sorry but I completely disagree with the first two comments. I have eaten at several other "Mexican" restraunts in this area and none compare. No atmosphere, too pricy, no flavor, small portions and the "hot" sauce tastes like tomatoe sauce. Campo Verde is none of these. They are priced within a budget, food is good and usually some to take home. Atmosphere is great and holds the attention. The only thing I will say is that maybe they could run specials for those that are REALLY on a budget, especially on takeout and yes, there are times they need to increase wait staff to handle and give customers closer attention.

I am very particular about authentic mexican food. I do not like tex mex I am from so. cal I would recommend this restaurant, while not a 5 will give a 4 for very flavorful dishes. Portions are adequate and service was good. Not home cooking from grandma, mom or myself, but will suffice. Just to compare to the fufu fanci mexican food from the 5 star restaurants are a usually a 3 for authentic tastes and flavor. As far as hot and spicy, I didn't break a sweet - but would probably be good enough for the occasion mexican food eater.

Just got home from eating at the restaurant for the first time. Not what I was expecting and would not go back nor recommend this place to anyone. Food was not worth the price! Waiter sucked. We should have gone to El Chico down the street!

My friend and I have been going to this resturant for the past 3 years around New years because of the ambiance with the lights, decorations and the train, not to mention the incredible ribs they offer. We always have them either as an appetizer or main dish, but they are a must. We also really enjoyed the fahitas last year, and we are looking forward to eating there again in a week. Can't beat the chips first, the friendly staff, and the setting, it's romance at a resonable price. Loved the place, and we would recommend it to everyone.

Hadn't been there in years, but due to publicity about the holiday decorations took friends for a birthday dinner. Dinner wasn't bad. However, at the end of the meal discovered there was a cockroach in our water. The manager, Ruben, was beyond awful in handling it. I now wish we had made a big stink about it at the time. Ruben magnamously took off a $3.00 margarita - and didn't even apologize. Suffice it to say, none of us will ever return. There's too many great Tex Mex places around. The owner never even got back to us. We were all thoroughly disappointed.

Great place to eat mexican food! It is especially festive around the holidays with all the Christmas lights and the train traveling overhead. Kids absolutely love it too! Also, Campo Verde has awesome waiters!!

As always the food is excellent as well as the waitstaff. Its what has kept Campo Verde at that location for all of these years. The prices are starting to get a bit out of hand for the ingredients in Mexican food to be so cheap. I only hope that they keep that controlled so that I may continue to enjoy as we weather these unsteady times.

My exhusband has been wanting to go for 5 years because of it being Dimebag's favorite and this past Dec 8th we finally made it there. I was skeptical after reading some of the reviews but I found the food was really good and reasonably priced. The waitstaff was great and the interior decor was very interesting. I would definitely recommend.

this was my first job as a teenager when my mother got breast cancer just before she died my boss at this place would not let me off that weekend to visit my mother because he didnt believe me. By far the most unsanitary and awful place i have ever worked, still 7 years later. I wouldnt let my worst enemy eat here!

For those who are looking for an authentic Mexican cuisine or a fancy place - you will not find it here. This place offers a Tex-Mex menu which is by the way great, fresh, always hot and plenty of it for the price. The lights and train are just an icing on the cake. We have been coming here for years and brought lot of guests and everybody was always happy. We like the casual atmosphere, prices and above all the food. Never dissappointed. We took a family there once with a young girl who had a sweetheart in Irak, and so she spent most of her time on the phone outside the restaurant. Her plate was sitting on the table until it was cold and we were done eating. The wait staff took it away and replaced it with a fresh hot plate when she came back to the table ( they had no idea she was talking to a soldier in Irak, they just did it as a courtessy ). I guess it depends on who handles it but we never had a problem there. Katie
