Barbecue House Mike's, Nacogdoches

Worst Barbeque but most of all service is bad rude my husband was trying to get some tea and the woman working there said very rudely its not ready yet and rolled her eyes at my husband. We will not go back there try Red Top Barbeque just down the road the best in town!

I must apologize for my colleague, the 4th. I invited him down from New York for the weekend, and frankly, those people wouldn't know what Barbeque was if it was chopped up and handed to them. I have frequented Mike's BBQ for a little over 30 years now. Nothing has changed and I would be greatly disheartened if it were to be changed. The sauce reminds me of my hometown, Albany, Georgia. The brown sugar and honey glaze my light-footed friend speaks of would sell for millions back home. The style in which the young men choose to set the plate is southern in both heart and tradition - whose expecting to eat off of china when you walk into a BBQ house? Yankees and San Fransissians. People and travelers of Nacogdoches, I encourage you to visit Mike's and decide for yourself - BBQ house or sloppy fine dining? I feel the answer will be obvious. On a side note... With the crime/race ratio heavily leaning in favor of those who are unfortunately African-American, I am surprised a little humor on the matter was taken so harshly, if that is in fact what was said at all. Thank you, and try the beans!

Mikes Barbeque House has the best BBQ around. It beats Adams Rib,or Bodacious either one.The people who work there are all so nice and friendly and helpful. I would recommend it to anyone who likes good BBQ.I wish this had more then 5 stars.They deserve it.

Always great!! The best BBQ anywhere and we have eaten it all at a lot of places. This is YUMMY! The baked beans are moist and meaty and the flavor of the grill makes it all worth while. The slaw is sweet and tangy and good! The brisket and chopped beef is fit for a king and the super stuffed potatoes are the best anywhere!! The ribs are heavenly. Not real crazy about the catfish but some really like it. We have been having Mike's BBQ for years and will continue to for years. Call ahead and drive-thru!! It is ready in a hurry even if you do not call it in.

Chicken was dry and the brisket was fatty. Sides were the worst I've had at a bbq joint. Not very good at all. And the prices were high for what I got.

Drove thru here tonight to get some grub for the fam. Service was rude, even though I tipped. Was overcharged and nickeled-and-dimed. Charged for white bread...charged for salt...wouldn't give us bbq sauce to go...and they left out part of our order, we had to go back by...and this after I tipped!!! Slaw is from a Cisco bag and the potato salad tastes like it's made from instant potatoes. Keep driving...don't waste your time.

It's the best BBQ ever and the cashier girls are the hottest in town.

This is the best BBQ in town, but it is really not all it is hyped up to be.
