Awesome! I have had the sandwiches, lasagna, pizza, salads, and stromboli. I have NEVER been disappointed with the food. Only a couple of disappointments with the service BUT the food made up for it. Bruno's pizza is a little pricey if you just consider price but don't make that mistake. A large Bruno's pizza is equivalent to 2 or 3 from the franchize pizza places. It is hot, fresh and LOADED with toppings! I have never had such a great pizza. A whole order of Lasagna will feed two people. All of their sauces are tasty, with just the right bite but never overwhelming whatever they are part of! Just an awesome, well worth-it experience!
Food OK but not outstanding, servers seem uninformed. Extra charge for pre-meal bread which is usually part of customer orders in other Italian restaurants. Asked for bread and dipping oil and got bread basket for $5.00 and cooking oil ..UGH! Pizza not near as good as Pit Stop in Bullard. Outside of restaurant is very inviting but inside is like a mess hall.
I would recommend it to anyone who lives in Tyler, or even to our visitors. If you want the best pizza, meatball sandwich, lasagna, or even just a salad. Bruno's is the best place in town to eat. I promise you will not be disappointed.
It may not be in the nicest part of town and it may not have much drive-up appeal but the food is really good here. Their Lasagna and Ravioli are my 2 favorites and I love their ice cold salads. My husband usually eats there about once a week and he says their meatball subs are fantastic but I've never tried one. Their pizza is really good too...and huge. Just wish they'd add Manicotti to their menu!
My father introduced me to this little out of the way gem back when I was just a child. I remember seeing the owner Mr. Rumbelow tossing pizza dough in the air. I'd only seen that on tv. He was so nice and my father was a regular. Once while we were there, Mr. Rumbelow came by our table and chatted with us. He even let us try a slice of chocolate cheesecake he'd made. He called it an experiment, we called it yummy. I loved the food then and I love it now. Bruno's will always be a favorite and dear to my heart.
