We love Palace Sea Food.
It looks like a total dive and the help aren't all that. But the food is wonderful.
The catfish is delicately battered, the oysters were cooked perfectly, even the hushpuppies were good, and that's a part that most seafood or fried food places skimp on. The fried crawdaddies are a guilty pleasure!
It also has a neighborhood ambiance you just don't get in a lot of Tyler restaurants that are in shopping centers or in highly commercial areas.
Be warned they don't take credit or debit cards. I had to go back a second time due to this fact, but I'm glad I did.
I'd like to give props to my friend from work, Huey who told me about Palace Sea Food. Check it out, you won't regret it as long as you aren't expecting white linens and flowers on every table!
