Recently visited the Lindale location, and was disappointed on the customer service they provide the order taker was very rude and short didn t even say than you, not to mention the waitress very poor customer service people skills they messed my order up and she seemed bothered by it. The food is not good at all for the price they charge. I don t recommend this place to anyone. Take your money elsewhere.
After reading the reviews I visited Taqueria El Lugar. It will be my first and LAST time!!! Food looks very unappetizing!! I wouldn't even take one bite of my food it looked so disgusting!! My husband did taste his but found it bland, runny and very bad food. One review said the best and freshest guacamole and when I asked for an order the server didn't know what I was talking about and said they didn't serve it. Food served on paper plates also. Save your money and time!!
I have to agree with an earlier poster, they are getting smaller and more expensive.
I've been buying them for year's. I ONLY like the ORIGINAL store... (#1)
I've tried the other's, but they are always cold. At least at the original store, they
are FRESHLY cooked, not cold!! They only take cash at the 1st store...
too bad, I would go more if I could use my card. Love the #7's with green sauce
and the #1's with the red sauce !!
I just moved here from Austin where there are Taquerias on every street corner. A friend introduced me to El Lugar. Although the tacos are smaller than what I'm used too, they're delicious. The ingredients are fresh and the beef is flavorful just like my mom used to make. The green sauce is my fave!! I've had El Lugar two days in a row. The tacos are becoming addicting. =)
I haven't really tried anything else OTHER than the SUPER QUESADILLA and they are Good, very good, BUT in the last few years the SUPER quesadillas have become SMALLER AND MORE EXPENSIVE, so it's been a while since I've been back at El Lugar, but it is good. Well atleast the super quesadilla is good, and their green hot sauce is good too.
I have eaten alot of Mexican food, from California to South Carolina and this place has the absolute hands down best Tacos and quesodillas of any place I have ever been. Great green sauce and red sauce have to have them both on tacos.
