Sushi Inchiban has very fresh sushi and an incredible happy hour from 5:30pm to 6:30pm when sushi and saki is half price. I ve been going there for years and I haven t had a bad meal or experience ever. As a matter of fact being the Korean owner is a Japanese trained sushi chef he tends to be a lot nicer than some of the Japanese sushi chefs around Dallas who think they walk on water. This guy has his own specials off the menu and in fact he even does a little Korean/Japanese sushi fusion, try that from a Japanese sushi chef. Trust me, you do not need to be Japanese to make good sushi, it is the training that matters like any trained chef.
I visited this place while staying at my relatives and I must say I enjoyed it very very much. I had noticed that it was new and asked the chef. He kindly told us that they had done renovations and I liked them very much.
The fish was very fresh from what I can tell. The night before I had went to Bluefish and it was not as good. It was too commercial and the fish had the commercial taste.
I ordered the eel as well and it was very good. I do not know what solero's problem is. I personally think if you cannot eat raw fish, you should not even eat sushi. it is embarrassing.
I look forward to coming back here.!!!!!!
* Pros: fresh fish, good atmosphere, new renovations
I took Japanese in high school, and we would take feild trips out to have sushi, so I have always loved and had a special place in my heart for sushi. I have lived in the DFW area for 13 years, since I was 9, and in the probably 7 years I have been eating sushi, I have yet to find a sushi restaurant better than this. Maybe its just me but this place seems untouched by corporate america. The sushi is always delicious and the same chefs work there now as did 3 and 4 years ago. Whats really great is they remember you! And the prices are amazing! I have probably been to 20 different sushi restarants and this is still to this day my favorite.
Excellent lunch prices that allow you to still have a variety of good food. Wonderful, sweet people. Outstanding Sushi and Sake. Good service. Nice, quiet atmosphere. If you sit at the sushi bar, they are very friendly about answering any questions you have or letting you sample some items if you're a rookie. Great for eating out solo, especially perfect for a date, or for a party.
There isn't anything that I don't like about SI. The atmosphere is great, and the people are nice. It's never very crowded, but the business is steady. I think once people find a great sushi spot, they tend to hold on to it. It's great.
