The service at the Addison location today was terrible. I have been there before but never such poor service. We waited 10 minutes before anyone came over to the table. I had to ask for menus then from the manager. Becky was awful. She took our orders and never acknowledged us until bringing the check. I would say she was the biggest problem. I would think it was her responsibility to take care of us but never even walked over to our area. I managed to tell Ray Ray, the manager, our problem and left I thought to check on our order but didn't come back to let us know what was the problem with the orders. She went on taking care of other orders, like she forgot also about us. It took more than 20 minutes after to get our order. We considered walking out of there. No rolls were brought to the table, Once we got our orders, I had to ask for them from other servers, I finally got rolls brought to the table. One butter brought for the two of us.. Had to hunt down someone to bring jelly for the toast. I was about to go get it myself. I felt like we were invisible most of the time. I hate the system of sitting anywhere you want which makes it feel like it is a free for all as to who takes care of you as in this case it seemed like Becky was not wanting to handle us in that section like it was not her job.

Normas has gone downhill. Norma is no longer associated with the cafe. We were very disappointed. Chicken pot pie was advertised as a special and it had a puff pastry like thing on top rather than a good crust. Pie itself was lukewarm at best and not great tasting. My husband's chicken fried steai was inedible - very greasy. Waitress never came by to check on us, when she did show up with the bill, she expressed amazement that he hadn't eaten the food. All in all a waste of money. Place looks very run down on both the inside and out. We did have a $6 off coupon, but that hardly made up for the bad food. You're better off at Dennys.

When you are tired of the fast food junk and you want a really great meal like mom used to make, served by friendly people in a great old-fashioned atmosphere...you can't beat Norma's. Unlike some places, this place will NEVER let you down. They are consistently wonderful. Try them one time...you won't go anywhere else. I live 30 miles away in Tarrant County, but when I'm in North Dallas...this is the place for a great meal at an old-fashioned price!

Fabulous little diner

These are the types of diners you dream of. Great service, great prices in a quaint old diner setting that is not hokey, but feels warm, authentic and with some character.

Old Fashion Down Home Cooking!

This is a classic 1950's diner! It has authentic atmosphere, with lamps, vases and decor from the past! There is even a juke box! All of the food is home made. Save room for dessert, as there are plenty of pies and cakes to chose from. You can have breakfast anytime and there is a daily special with choice of two sides. There is yet a piece of food I have put in my mouth that was not good! There is just too much to chose! The service is friendly and fast! It doesn't take long for the folks to learn your name. My favorite is ALL YOU CAN EAT catfish on Friday nights! The atomic fries are out of this universe as well. Bring your appetite, as you will not go away hungry!
