Ate at India Palace last night .Not much traffic for 24th night. I have gone to this restaurant for 10 years and have appreciated the food most of the time so I keep going back. I have never appreciated their service. Last night was the LAST TIME, I am not going back ,the SERVICE is horrible nobody seems to care .They don't care for what you have to say about the food you like it or not that's your problem .It is a shame that a restaurant like this would have such POOR SERVICE and an even worse ATTITUDE TOWARDS THE CUSTOMER.If the food is good, it's your lucky day ...if it's bad, the attitude of the manager will make it even worse for you .It was VERY DISAPPOINTING ! We did get credit for the dissatisfactory dish served but it was handled with such bad attitude that even that won't compensate for the poor dine in experience.
Throughout the years India Palace has stood its ground as one of the best Indian restaurants in Dallas. Others have come and gone but India Palace has consistently served good food and provided great service time and time again. I have been going to this restaurant for 20 years and can not say I have had a bad experience. It is a bit pricey but the food has always been delicious and the service is provided with a smile. There is a reason this place has stayed in business and continued to win awards. Restaurants with this kind of longevity obviously get the fact that good food and good customer service keeps them in business. Don't listen to the bad reviews, most of the bad reviews offer vague descriptions of their experience. They are probably just haters. Most of the good reviews have the same comments as mine, because those people have experienced what I have experienced on a consistent basis. Bottom line is if you want to experience traditional Indian cuisine try it out, you will like it.
This is always a must-stop for my family on a visit to Dallas. The food is fabulous - lamb shahi korma is my favorite, and the garlic naan is yummy. Beautiful restaurant, clean, with courteous service on every occasion we've eaten there.
Best India restaurant in Dallas. A really delicious experience. The food was stunning ambience and service both excellent. I loved the concept of sharing several plates over a period of time at no time did we feel rushed and each dish was beautifully presented and tasted superb.
Yesterday, I decided to stop and check out India Palace for their luncheon buffet. The food was flavorful, however, the temperature of the food was not up to the health departments standards. The soup was luke warm, as well as other dishes on the heated buffet. This will need to be addressed immediately. All of the elements on the buffet appeared to be on. This was very disappointing. At this time, I would not recommend this restaraunt.
I have been going to India Palace for decades. I have never had a bad experience with the food or the service. Occasionally they have a full house so the staff will be busy, but you can tell they are working diligently. We usually have the buffet, and it is always excellent. Nice variety of meat and vegetarian dishes, also they include a dish that is not spicy which is great for my kids. I like that they have Indian condiments and deserts with the buffet to compliment the meal. I always recommend India Palace. We have often taken guests there, who in turn have fallen in love with India Palace!
I have very bad experience in this restaurant nobody can believe it but its TRUE. May 2008, I went to Richardson for training and I went to India Palace for Dinner. I enjoy the food but at the end I was drinking Mango Lassi and I notice some thing is in my mouth when I check that “It was a Big and Dirty Piece of Finger Nail” I was almost to throw out. I called to the owner and he said “It is just a piece of Plastic”. I know the difference between Finger Nail and Plastic. I did not argue with him just pay my bill and left and never went back again. Few days I can not eat any thing that was the badest experience of my life in this restaurant. If any body wants to eat in this restaurant make sure CHECK YOUR FOOD BEFORE YOU EAT.
Always have the best food, always are nice, and the service is always great. I was thirsty from skating once i went in there, asked for some water, and they let me sit down and gave me some water. Proof of compassion too.
