Oceanaire Seafood Room - Dallas, Dallas

Very disappointed, gone down hill. When you pay this much for a meal and celebrating anniversary you want it to be special. Wait staff slow and non attentive. Had to ask for water, took too long for drinks, to order. Will not go back.

Dinner 2/28/12 Very disappointed in our dinner at this seafood restaurant. When you spend $$$$, you expect a certain “quality” of service at this 5 star establishment. We were seated very quickly, ordered our drinks & oyster appetizer, but from there, it went downhill. I ordered a chopped salad, without cucumbers. My salad arrived with cucumbers, 10 minutes later, we finally locate the waiter to get his attention & told him the salad had cucumbers. He picks up the salad & says I specifically told them no cucumbers, are you sure they are on there? As he inspects the salad, at our table, I say, yes there are cucumbers on the salad. Would I like another salad? Since my dinner partners were basically finished with their salads, I said no, our food should arrive soon. Waiter comes back to the table about 30 minutes after we had ordered & said the steak that I ordered was only a 10 oz steak, they did not have the 6 oz steak, even though he asked me when I ordered if I wanted the 6 or 10 oz steak. 30 minutes???, this should have been a sign our food was not coming out very soon. It took, from the moment we sat down, until our food arrived, 1 hour & 15 minutes to get our dinner. As we notice around the restaurant, there were at least 4 or 5 other tables with customers arriving after we did. They were being served dessert as we were just getting our meal! Never received an apology for any delay. The food was very good, the service was VERY DISAPPOINTING.

Great Seafood restaurant. One of the few restaurants in this area where you get what you pay for, Not cheap, but quality seafood is never cheap. Great service. Highly recommended for a nice night out.

This place is awesome! Excellcent service and the crabcakes are to die for! Great restaurant for special occasions.

Do you need to get away but dont have a yacht? This is the place, ranging from the hardwood floors that resemble the deck of a ship to the lovely ambience of a romantic evening. The filet mignon is Great and the pork chop is HUGE! I love this place!

Had the pleasure of dining at the Oceanaire one night and was able to provide a last minute recommendation it to my boss and our VP, who was from Chicago. Tauting a restaurant to someone from Chicago is typically not a good idea, but they were both impressed and raved!

My family thought the food was wonderful. The service was fantastic. We enjoyed the entire experience and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Dallas.

The resturant has a wonderful wait staff and the best seafood this side of the Trinity! The desserts are to die for.
