Description

For Authentic German food and live music, this deli and on-site bakery are a real treat. You can enjoy a classic German meal and then pick up a few things from the market and bakery to take home. Sit amidst authentic German-style decor. On various nights, there is live folk music. The imports in the market area are very interesting to look at on your way out. Choose from an array of mouth-watering Schnitzels, German sausages and Potato Pancakes. Then, get ready for a stein of German beer. This place is great for breakfast too. The bakery serves European cakes with fresh whipped cream or butter cream icing, as well as wedding and birthday cakes.

I ordered a cake the same day it was ready great place love the cake. The people were so helpful my first time there. Great place I would recommend this place to everyone. Now I will be ordering my cakes at HENKS from now on.

'its being 8 years since i ate their cake. i would recomended to anybody who wants something different.me and my wife love it that we get a cake for every evnet that we do. nevr being to a place that makes those kind of cakes

They make the best pies for the holidays.

This is a deli review only. Unlike Kuby's this place has a more reasonable pricing. Deli selection is narrower tho. This store feels more like candy shop, the meats don’t look too fresh and are not many to choose from. The baked goods are stale and hard to touch, selection very narrow. Will not come here again.

This bakery has wonderful cakes.It is in a great location in Dallas, Texas. The cakes will just melt in your mouth!!!! I love ordering cakes from this excellent establishment.

German Perfection

After being born in Germany and spending five years in the Army over thier i fell in love with the food and culture. Black Forest Bakery is the closest to being there I have found in Texas!!!

Traditional for more years than I can remember. Cakes are surpreme, the sell/change of ownership doesn't seem to have effected quality. I have been a patron for more than 25 years. Don't change a thing!

Very nice setting. Fresh, Excellent cakes. Cute Building. Unlike any bakery in the city. Fresh fruit cakes are to die for. I will defenitely go back there again.
