Black Forest Bakery & Henk's European Deli
For Authentic German food and live music, this deli and on-site bakery are a real treat. You can enjoy a classic German meal and then pick up a few things from the market and bakery to take home. Sit amidst authentic German-style decor. On various nights, there is live folk music. The imports in the market area are very interesting to look at on your way out. Choose from an array of mouth-watering Schnitzels, German sausages and Potato Pancakes. Then, get ready for a stein of German beer. This place is great for breakfast too. The bakery serves European cakes with fresh whipped cream or butter cream icing, as well as wedding and birthday cakes.
I love this place. I found it for lunch one day with a friend, and we had sausage, German potatoe salad and kraut. The food was so excellent that I could not beleive I had never been there before. The portions at lunch were so filling but not too much.
Wonderful flavor, great atmosphere, and a super deli and market area. I recommend it for anyone, even if you think you might not like German food. You will like this. A real special place for lunch. I can't wait to go back for a evening meal.

This is a little hidden treasure behind a bookstore that no one seems to know about. When you first walk in and look to the right you see a little store selling deserts, liquor, cheeses, and other goods. To your left is a tiny German restaurant decorated in murals of German streets and beer bottles, mugs and tin signs. The food here is totally authentic, the beers are gigantic and delicious and the accordion player in the corner makes for a fun atmosphere. Friday nights are popular with the local crowd who frequent the place. Try Saturday night or one morning for breakfast. You'll be hooked and taking your friends to the new place you've found.
