OMG! This place was Awesome!!! We are from Shreveport and went to Dallas for V-day weekend. When we got there, they told us it would be 3.5 hours WAIT! It was only an hour wait in the long run. We had Hannah Montana as our waitress, saw Joe Dirt, Denis the Menace, Belle, Cinderella, Snow White, Woody from Toy Story, Jack Sparrow, Zorro and lots of others! Its VERY KID FRIENDLY! They do magic shows, and face painting. The interior is very fun and creative! We absolutely love this place. Will definitely be going back when we go back to Dallas! OH! And the waiters do have sarcastic attitudes, that's part of the act so DON'T TAKE IT PERSONALLY!! If you are looking for a good time, a good laugh, and a wonderful dinner, Go to the Magic Time Machine. The foods kinda pricey but well worth it. And for those who don't eat a whole lot, they offer adults the kids meals! So GO TO MAGIC TIME MACHINE!!!!
I love this place to death, I have been there many times and never once had a bad time. The waiters were always fun and willing to chat with you. I went there enough that they started to remember me and my friends names. Price on food is not very low but the food is amazeing. The potatos are out of this world. Will be going for my 25th birthday in acouple of days.
I have been here plenty of times and it's always entertaining. It can get crowded on weekends for dinner, so be prepared. They have a good selection of drinks and desserts so save room. The waiters dressed up as characters will make you laugh. If you know someone who hasn't been here before, then I highly recommend taking them. You will have to ask where the restroom is if you don't already know or find it for yourself.
A friend took my aunt, cousin, and I. We were wondering what this place was. We never even heard of it. We were amazed what it looked like when we first came in. Our waiter was outstanding. My aunt enjoyed it more than her 5 year old daughter. It took us an hour to get her out for she wanted to see everthing and everyone. The magic show wasn't that bad either. All in All it was a very exciting experience and I would love to go again.
We were really excited to go...but i was disapointed from the moment i walked in the door. It smelled like mothballs. Our server was very nice...but nothing could make up for the food. Even my 4 and 7 yr old didnt like their food. My husband and i tried really hard to like the food because we were starving....but it was so bad; and it was way over priced. I had the taste of nasty bacon in my mouth for hours both of my kids ended up sick that night....thank god for imodium.
This place is kitschy beyond belief. Its funny. Yea the carpet and wallpaper are old but I think that is part of its charm. If you are looking for slick, overly marketed franchise food then this place isn't for you. If you want to go somewhere off the beaten path, this is your place. I had the Greek orgy which was 3 types of roasted meats and fresh fruit. The meat was very good. Very tender. I asked for some BBQ sauce and it was very good. Sweet and tangy.
My waiter was Dr Jekyl/Mr. Hyde. He WAS rude. But he was just staying in character. He talked with a British accent and everything. He was witty and funny. My male companion took all of the snippy comments in stride.
I plan on taking my daughter there for her birthday tomorrow. Its a lot of fun.
