Cyclone Anaya's Mexican Kitchen
Jesus "Cyclone Anaya" Valencia thought restaurants would provide a safer lifestyle than wrestling. After many successful years in Houston, Cyclone Anaya's has made the leap to Dallas to provide true Tex-Mex such as seafood ceviche which is fresh and limey and salad-like enough to eat with a fork. Betsy's Tamales, probably the most popular entree, are filled with shredded pork cooked in acho chile sauce, layered with chile con carne, melted cheese and diced raw onion. With a long list of margarita varieties ranging in price from $11-$14, it's easy to have a night of it here. - Raine Devries
This place is horrible. Food was cold, waitress never checked up on us. They brough my original plate reheated. I requested a fresh plate to. I asked to speak to the manager to let him know my disappointment and he did not seem to care. We will never be going back there again or recommending it to anyone.
The service was HORRIBLE in Dallas off of Oak Lawn. They are very racist against non-gay people. I went there with for my birthday thinking I would have a good time, but I was definitely wrong.
The bartenders would not serve my boyfriend and I. My girl friends were across the bar and they completely ignored them as well. 25 min wait for a drink is ridiculous!
Plus I made reservations a week in advance and when we got there they made us wait 45 mins.
I would never suggest this place to anyone!!!
There are some MAJOR problems with this restaurant in Addison. THE SERVICE IS HORRIBLE! It has steadily declined to the point of being almost nonexistent. I have also noticed the patronage there has been steadily declining why is that?. I cannot say anything good about the floor staff... the kitchen has prepared my food wrong three times in the past two months I dont appreciate that!!!!!!!! can anyone read English in this place? I believe we are still in the U.S. The new kid manager on day is more interested in running a popularity contest with the staff than checking the poor service and wrong food. Yesterday not one thing we ordered was correct. I don't think they want us here!!!!!!! we will go to another great Mexican food restaurant across the street, need I say more.
Maybe it's just the new Addison location but man, it sucks!! The chips were covered in grease, and i could stand my fork up in the queso it was so thick. Drinks were good, but overpriced along with the average food.
When I saw the place, I thought it was just another Ojeda's or Uncle Julio's. I went with my best friend yesterday afternoon, to see white linen and bottles of wine. It was casual but I still felt a little underdressed in skinny jeans and flip flops. lol But I loved it there. The decor is nice and the atmosphere is nicer. Try the fish tacos with avocado. Loved it! And the jumbo margarita. Loved it more!
