Sevy's Grill, Dallas

The Dallas Morning News rated this resturant high, recommended also it. We decided to give it a try. There were several people there, seeming to enjoy themselves. Al & I ordered steak dinners on Thursday evening. I asked for no onion rings on the plate. Our waitress said that they come with the dish, so I had to have them. Our waitress didn't give her name, it was 9pm, maybe she was tired. Our steaks came with the side of roasted veggies & topped with a bunch of onion rings. We both moved the rings to a side plate. I love veggies, so I started eating them. They were not hot, almost cold, maybe the heat lamp was broken? I tried the steak & it was not 'hot' either & seemed quickly turning cool. I had to eat fast, can't stand cold steak! This was not 'prime' steak, seemed dry like a choice cut. What was odd, is 'we ordered the exact same dish' so there was no reason not to receive it hot, hot plate 'the way it should be'! Also the price was ~ $29 each! Our poor waitress was too tired to ask 'how is everything?'...She did ask if we wanted more wine. We won't eat at SEVY's again. We hope the Chef will read this. This is the first 'negative' resturant review I have given.

This place has great food and wine. Noise level is not as bad as most steak houses. I would put it in the same class as Bob
