I went just last week. I am not from Dallas. I am actually from Houston. The food here is awful. This is not true Tex-Mex! I know what Tex-Mex is because I eat it all the time. The burritos and other food is ground beef. They are not real meat! The salsa is just Pace Pacate Hot. Most Tex-Mex know how to make sauces. After all this nasty food, the prices are outragious. They are to high. You have to be careful to the area is dangerous.
I worked on ojedas like 8 years ago I was 16 years old,.here is my anecdote I just worked two days in that place but on the second day of work I was making enchiladas and these people dont got AC on the kitchen so I was sweating on the enchiladas, sorry for those who eat the enchiladas.so if you gonna eat there please look first if they got AC in the kitchen, maybe ojetes(ojeda's) is better now than 8 years ago..p.Diaz
Ojeda's is the best mexican food in Texas. I travel for a living and have tried a lot of places. Ojeda's is by far the best. I just wish there were more locations. The chicken fajita quesadias are the best you will find anywhere. The hot sauce is the best anywhere. I highly recommend it to anyone.
I have been in the restaurant biz. for 33 years, and when it comes to Ojeda's, it's handsdown one of the best Mexican restaurants. No it's not in the best area, but they have security watching the P-lots. I have been going there at least once a month for the past 30 years and I have never had a problem. I seek out the best, and they are in the top 3 in the DFW area. The cheese and onion enchaladas, and the Brisket tacos ROCK.
A real piece of crap is how I would classify this place. First of all, the location is horrendous. It is right smack dab in the middle of a HIGHLY crime-filled area, as my policeman friend warned me about it. Now, let's get to the real issue at hand here: the food. I can honestly say that their food is tantamount to El Fenix in the sense that it is nauseating. It is clearly not fresh and their hot sauce and guacamole is a joke. The few times I have been there (I thought I would give them a second and third chance) the food was lacking taste and originality. I swear, I will never go here again.
This is the best Mexican food ever. The people are so nice and the service is great. The prices are also very reasonable. I go every week and it has never taken long for the food to come out. I would recommend this place to anyone. I think its better than any Mexican Resaurant I've ever been to.
