Nandina combines the hot trends for sushi and tapas dishes. Some dishes are ideal for sharing but some you should be selfish and keep for yourself. Shared dishes should be Shrimp Dumplings and the miso-marinated Kobe Beef. Things to be selfish about are the Sashimi and Rice Salad with its smoked salon, avocado and sweet, sticky rice dressed with sesame-chili vinaigrette. The wine list has a nice, moderately priced selection and service is excellent.
Great food at great prices. This little Lower Greenville spot serves the best Thai curry in town. Chang beer is available which is a nice touch. The sushi is also good and reasonably priced.
Has a nice patio and inside dining area.
When I went the sevice was not terrible at all, the sushi and drinks were excellent, as well as the fact that they are open late, priced decent, and deliver late! No complaints here and I'm a bit of a sushi snob!
worst restaurant ever. food was not fresh, service sucks and they also took my change when the gradtuity was already added. we got the volcano roll and smoke salmon nigiri and the scallop in the volcano roll was spoiled! and the smoke salmon wasnt tasting right either. and now i got a stomach virus
Never in my life will go back again!!!! Five of us ate here, the food was ok, the service sucked, we all got our drinks a different times, one guy got his when the brought out the appetizers, and that was because I told them!!!! Waiter was not attentive at all, when they brought us our checks gratuity was already included my gratuity was $7 and every one else had different amounts, my friend had $14 dollars added on for gratuity which i thought was insane!!! Will never go back again
DO NOT DINE HERE!!! THEY HAVE ILLEGAL BUSINESS PRACTICES!!! I recently dined here with a group of friends this past weekend after going out on Greenville Ave. The Food was okay, but I definitely am Paying the price now for going, literally!! I only made one purchase (for California Roll) and paid 7 dollars and some change for it with my debit card. One of my friends in the party also ordered the same thing and paid the same price (with her card). Well, the next day I check my debit account with my bank and Nandina's had charged me the $7 AND $25.08!! I checked in with the bank about it and they removed it from my pending charges. But obviously these crooks must have WRITTEN down my number because another charge of $31 has been posted to my account now!! (and Yes, everyone in the party did pay for their food, the others paid their's in cash).
And SURPRISE!! My other good friend who was the only other person in the party to use their card has been charged several times as well, not only for her $7 purchase, but one for around $33 and the other for $42! Now not only is my bank taking this up with the restuarant, I have now filed charges against these THIEVES with the Dallas Police Department. DO NOT DINE HERE, CLEARLY THEY DO NOT HAVE ETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES, and SOMEONE ON THEIR STAFF COULD BE FACING FRAUD CHARGES!!!
Big disappointment, will never go to again.. The manager and the staff were very rude and the food was below average compared to the other Thai places in town. Go to Royal Thai off of Greenville and Lovers - MUCH MUCH BETTER!
I absolutely LOVE this restaurant! The ambiance is so romantic and elegant, but not ridiculously expensive at all. I took my daughter and friends for her bachelorette dinner and we had the best time staying for hours. My husband and I feel like we are treating ourselves when we eat at Nandina, the staff are so nice and friendly with wonderful service. Order the crispy shrimp wraps for an appetizer, they come in a martini glass with the yummiest sweet orange dipping glaze and the crab rangoon is to die for, this is the only resturant we go to that we have to order two or each appetizer because we dont want to share! The bartender knows how to make a drink with some serious kick in it. I highly suggest this restaurant. If you are on a date and want to be romantic ask to be seated by the waterfall wall she will be impressed.
