Gloria's Oak Cliff
Every table is lined with signature margaritas and nachos at Gloria's Oak Cliff. With several locations, the Oak Cliff cafe and cantina is a popular choice. Colorful tables and booths make this an upbeat place to dine. Gloria's serves up a fun and festive atmosphere. Pupusas are cheese-stuffed corn tortillas. Try them! You will like them here. Fajita-topped nachos are incredible and the banana leaf tamales are tasty as well.
On a recent trip I had the shrimp enchilada dinner. It was one of the worse enchilada plates in my entire 45 year old life. The sauce tasted like it came straight from a can of tomato sauce to right on the plate. Diminutive and sparse shrimp with no flavor. I've been to Gloria's many times over the years and the food is generally good but it always seems to be hit and miss with the quality. Needless to say with this last meal and the disinterest from the manager about the meal I'm not real interested in going back anytime soon.
visited the location in addison and it was the worst expierence ever, never would i go back they go over there capacity!! So you are constanly bumping into people! Employees extremly rude!!! Do not waste your time dont give me wrong its a nice place, food just ok but the service horrible!!! Think about it before you get there
This is not the place to go if you are looking for a romantic sit down dinner. It is a very open/high ceiling restaurant and so the noise level can be high. The food, however, is GREAT, the wait staff is usually very friendly, and the food usually arrives very quickly to your table. This is a great place to have a get together with your friends and catch up on things...It is DEFINATELY worth visiting!!
The food is great and the price is reasonable. The carne asada is my favorite and the black beans are delicious. The one on Davis has a cozy enviroment and that's part of the reason why I go back to that location. We usually get awesome service but the past 2 times the service was 'ok'.
The restaurant was too pricey for the level of comfort and quality of food that it offered. The indoor restaurant is quite dark and dank and the tables are not organized properly - we kept bumping into other customers seated behind us.
The outdoor was slightly better, but Dallas has a very short outdoor season anyways.
The service was courteous but took way too long for a simple qaesadilla order.
