Burn your finger, check your tri-G
By Weike, 9/10/06
The food is simply raw materials fried in oil with some dipping sauce. Pretty much tasteless. People around me had plenty left-overs and nobody bothered to take them home. Not a good place for children since the oil was HOT. No chef was needed for the restaurant, yet the food was expensive. It was so oily that I felt my tri-glyceride went through the roof. I wouldn't go again even the food was free!

What a date
By Jerry S, 7/27/06
My wife and I went to Simply Fondue last night in Lewisville. This was quite simply the most relaxed, easy paced meal we have ever had. We had a ball cooking the food and just enjoying our time there. When going though, don't expect to be in-out in a fast time frame. Think of this as a wonderful date experience which might take two hours to accomplish - not to be undertaken when trying to get to a movie or something on a tight schedule. It's a bit pricey, but we had an entertainment card discount which really rocked.

Nightmare on Greenville Avenue
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/2/06
I have been dining at this establishment now for over 11 years. It has been atleast one year since our last visit. We encountered many problems... Firstly, there is no way to make a reservation on the internet. We drove two hours one-way to eat here last night (Saturday night; 4th of July weekend) and when we started trying to call Saturday morning, the phone would just ring and ring. We did not get any answer until one hour before we wanted our reservation. We finally spoke to someone as we were driving into Dallas. Secondly, when we arrived at approximately 6pm, we were excorted to our table which had a new burner. This burner was very hot very fast and made us all sweat heavily within a short time after the waiter turned it on. I do not remember sweating like this before... Thirdy, the prices and menu choices changed. There were many additional choice options, which seemed nice, but the prices TRIPLED. When we would go and dine in the past, our bill was usually somewhere around $60-$70. OUR BILL LAST NIGHT WAS OVER $200. And finally, our waiter, Tommy, loved telling us how he is addicted to Nintendo and all video games. He talked and talked and talked about this.... We were disgusted. But the time we were done, which was about an hour, we were consumed with sweat and disgusted with the bill and the waiter. We will never go back. If you want to spend this kind of money to eat, take it to the Palm at the West End...

A completely different dining experience
By J, 5/15/06
Imagine a dim-lit booth with high-back bench seat to provide you with a sense of privacy, a cozy environment with the likes of Sade and Sting playing softly on the stereo, friendly waitstaff and food that you prepare right at your table. And the dessert offerings are to die for. Perfect starter for a romatic evening. Slight warning...you probably will exit smelling slightly like the cooked food you just ate.

Disappointing Experience
By Kim, 4/23/06
The service was absolutely terrible. The waitress did not even offer us new drinks while picking up glasses throughout the meal. We did not even stay for the desert course because we were being treated so poorly. I am a fan of fondue although I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. It truly was a major disappointment.

Smelly and overpriced
By Stephen, 4/1/06
I have nothing against these people. Nothing at all. I like fondue. And the wait staff is usually good. But the food is mediocre at best, which would *still* be OK but for the prices. WAY too high. And you have to add to that the cost of having all your clothes dry-cleaned the next day. Skip this one.

If you want to cook your own food......
I don't think I will ever go back to this place. If you want to spend $45 dollars per person and cook your own food, you would proabaly like it. Personally, I go to a restaurant not to have to cook! I went with a large group and we had fun laughing at each other so that was fun until grease popped up and hit my face. Caution...beware! The waiter was attentive and fun. Save your money on the chocolate, it was bitter to me. The cheese was the best, we had the pepperjack. Everyone that ordered cheddar was eating ours.

We go every year for my birthday!!!
By ask me first, 3/11/06
This restaurant is by far one of my favorites...my family and some close friends make a point of going every year to celebrate my ongoing aging!!! The atmosphere is conducive toward both families and romantic dates! The staff is more than friendly, and will spend plenty of time explaining the process if you have never been before. Be sure and make reservations for weekends, as they get pretty busy - but a great place to surprise your spouse, girlfriend/boyfriend, and form new traditions as we have! Btw - the dessert fondues are to die for - different types of chocolate to put fruit and angel food cake into....mmmmm!!!
