I was just introduced to Freebirds last year by my boyfriend (an AGGIE) He said that I had to try this place and the burritos that he practically lived on while he was in college. Since then, we go there together all the time. There are so many locations now, we are always close to one. I love their food and the atmosphere. I would rather have Freebirds than Chipotle any day!!!!
I had great expectations for this place after hearing all the rave reviews from Freebird's faithfuls. Unfortunately, reality didn't live up to the hype, at least in my opinion. I think the burritos at Chipotle are better tasting and the individual ingredients stand out more. My Freebird's burrito tasted like a generic mush wrapped inside a tortilla.
Of course, as always, give it a try and form your own opinion. Burritos, being completely hand made, can vary greatly depending on the particular employee that makes it. That being said, I've never gotten a burrito from Chipotle that I didn't love and I wish I could say the same about Freebird's.
