Description
Walk into Chuy's and lose all of your worries. It's a fun, festive Mexican cantina perfect for happy hours or special celebrations. The funky, eclectic decor is eye-candy for diners. Large, cozy booths and tables can accommodate large groups. It's often crowded during happy hour and sometimes overflowing on weekends. The combination platters allow you to sample a little of this and a little of that. The enchiladas are a mainstay, and the chile con queso is among the best in town.
Chuy's is quite simply the best Mexican food I've ever tasted. I've been to three different Chuy's (Arlington, Central Expressway in Dallas) plus this location. The food is consistently fabulous--and I found out why. Everything is made fresh daily. Absolutely nothing is frozen. Service is always fast and friendly, no matter which location you choose. This Chuy's has one advantage over the other locations, though. It is much larger inside, so waiting time is shorter. And there is less noise--it's much easier to carry on a conversation at this Chuy's.
First off the reviews that say it is TexMex should SHUT UP!.It is New Mexico mexican food Duhhh.Hatch green chili OK.Yes the Best Chili Relleno even in NM.If you go in there and order slop IE TexMex then you shold have gone to TacoBell.I would be happy if 80% of you stay away.
Decided to try Chuy's after reading the reviews. Overall I'd have to give it an "Average" rating. The food was decent but nothing that made me think it was any better then other tex-mex places I've tried. I ate at the bar and did get my drinks and food fairly quickly but it did take the bartender quite a while to cash me out once I was done. Definitely the younger "hipster" crowd here as one other reviewer stated. Probably a better place to have drinks at then a place to get really good mexican/tex-mex food. The "creamy jalapeno sauce" was really nothing more then ranch with bits of jalapenos in it, was ok if you really like ranch I suppose. Probably would not go here again unless with friends who wanted to have a few drinks.
Chuy's has the best chili relleno that I've ever eaten bar none. I always make a point of going there once or twice when I'm in town visiting relatives.
