This legendary restaurant is known as one of Dallas' best steakhouses, with the Texas-based chain's original restaurant located in Austin. Steak, chicken and seafood lovers alike find something to whet their appetites at Hoffbrau. The comfortably rustic Hoffbrau, featuring walls adorned with license plates, bull horns and neon signs, as well as a mindful staff, make this steak house a Texas tradition not to be missed.
we took the dart down from Plano and loved the west end and had the best steak, sat on the patio and the servers went out of their way to make us happy since we had 2 little kids with us. Loved their smoked sirloin and Dr Pepper Chicken. we will be back.
Went to this Hoffbrau with friends in town for a convention, ordered drinks at the bar while waiting for a table, when I paid the bar tab, the bartender seemed to take quite awhile to return my credit card and seemed to be writing something down while I waited and the others went to the table. well about a week and a half later the bank had put a hold on the card for purchases that did not fit us, thank god for the bank. We talked to the bank and found out there were charges on the card the same day for online game sites, we do not play online game sites, and did not use that card for any other place for at least a month prior to Hoffbrau.
I called them, and they said they would call me back..Nothing, went to parent site, contact us.. NOTHING.
All I have to say is the bartender was the only one with the card and ....
DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR CARDS!!!
On a recent visit we had a disappointing outing. The bar was out of Jack Daniels (!) and whipped creme for an Irish Coffee. One dinner order arrived cold, another incorrect and one with sausage that was overcooked and dry. Very disappointing evening. The food that was correct was OK at most, especially the chicken fried steak. We will not visit again.
This place is not Dallas' best steakhouse, it doesn't even come close. I went to the west end with my family before a Dallas Stars Game and being in the mood for steak we decided we should try Hoffbrau out since we had heard its good.
The quality of the meat was horrible, it was gristly and almost unchewable(we ordered medium by the way). The taste was decent though, so if gristly meat doesn't bother you then have at it. My mother ordered a hamburger and it was actually really good. However, this is a steak house not a hamburger joint and I am rating it as such.
The service was good for the type of place it was, its not mortons and since thats clear from when you walk in the door we weren't bothered by the fridaysesque service.
I have been in seventeen countries in the world, and Hoffbrau Steak Hous has the best food; bar none. The Works burger, is world class fare, I personally have eaten hamburgers in nine countries, and none of them come with reach of Hoffbrau. Their burgers are the type, that make your mouth water for one, when in Hamburg, Suttgart, or Munich. I have been in Tokyo and wished for an Hoffbray Workers burger.Even in the Stockyards of Fort Worth, nothing beats an Hoffbray Works Burger.
