Always outstanding. Great food. (The pecan crusted foie gras on french toast is terrific.) Great service. Attentive without being overbearing or snooty. Beautiful atmosphere both in the restaurant and in the grand old hotel it is housed in. You'd have to try pretty hard to have a bad time at the French Room.

As always outstanding. Service was friendly and patient, food was wonderful. I will always recommend the French Room for special dinners with close friends.

Excellent service, beautiful room, great food. Quite simply one of the best in Dallas, despite being elegant a lot less pretentious than some of the a la mode restos.

The worst dining experience of my life was at the French room, 19 years ago. I will never set foot at that place anymore and will tell everyone who wants to go there, not to. The place is pretentious, severely over-priced and the food is not worth it. The service is disjointed and the manager are aloof. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. Better places for a lot less in Dallas.

French Room--A Dallas tradition, but in a rut. My French dictionary has a word for it--"Surestime". We Texans just say "Overrated".

Still the best Restuarant in town. The quintissential romantic fine dining, special occasion restaurant in the historic Adolphus Hotel. Quiet ambiance, beautiful European French setting with tall ceiling arches, subtle frescoes w/ gold accents, and large central floral display. The food is new world perfection. Not uncommon to see a discrete marriage proposal while dining.

If you want Romance this is the place to go. The Dining Room is gorgeous, decadant yet tasteful. The food is amazing and the winelist is long. My favorite dish is the Foie Gras.
