Don Jose's Restaurant, Corsicana

The food arrived cool, and it was slow, from a business point of view. The waitress checked our table once for refills. Never offered to refill our chips or salsa. I must say that the service has gotten worse over these last several years. You are left to your own refills and I'm sure still expected to leave a tip. Even with a change in menu items, the quality still suffers from a total lack of concern by the kitchen staff. Previous reviews say the manager is great, well he/she may have a great personality but I don't think they have the skills to run a restaurant. Being a people person, does not make you a great leader! I will also say the same has happened to the Palestine location The service is almost unacceptable and the food is just bad! After tonight I doubt We will give Don Jose's anymore money

We stopped this place on a road trip. Service was good. The food was ok but I've had better. It was really cold outside. I wonder if the old Mexican inn has better food in it.

The absolute best Mexican food in the world. My husband went to the UK and all he wanted when he arrived at DFW was Don Jose's in Corsicana. The other locations are NOT as good. This location is the best and the staff is wonderful. Our family loves this restaurant and we won't ever go across the street to the old mexican inn. This is the best in Texas.

My friends & family eat here at the very least, once a week and have been since they came to Corsicana. The manager and staff are extremely kind and courteous and go out of their way to accomodate groups, children, elderly, handicapped, etc. The food is delicious and they serve large portions, but the prices are very reasonable. They also have lunch specials that are excellent in price and selection. It's a great place to eat and you always see people you know there....kind of a happy place to eat and visit!

This place used to be the little Mexicant restaurant that could, but the past couple times, the food has been less than great. My 'changa was burned, and Chris's shrimp was overcooked. But it's still better than OMI.

they are discriminating,and Jose the manager is two-faced.He discriminates and says one thing and does the exact oppisite of what he says.Get a new manager... other than that the food is okay.

My family and I frequent this restaurant and we've never had anything but great service and EXCELLENT food. The menu pricing is very reasonable as well. Unfortunately, we will be moving at the end of the week and won't be able to enjoy Don Jose's any longer :(

Everytime I have been in there either the service sucks or the food. Last time I was in there I found peel blue nail polish in my beans...that was it for me.

Best Mexican food in town! I've never been disappointed in the quality or the service.

My friends and I were treated very poorly at this restaurant. We waited half an hour for our waiter to take our order. When we finally asked for our waiter nicely, the manager came over and very rudely scolded us for socializing too much. It must be against the rules to talk to your friends at a restaurant, and maybe get up to go to the restroom. Finally, when another waitress came to take our order, we just asked for our bill for the drinks and chips. I am sure we were treated like this because we are young, college age kids. Maybe the staff of this restaurant has had a bad experience with young people. However, in all honesty, we were never rude, nor did we do anything wrong at all to deserve this sort of treatment. I have never been so insulted at a restaurant and I will not be going back.
