I come to Texas by way of Chicago. I have tried every place I could find that claimed to have great pizza. Most of it was California salad on dough crap or cardboard junk the likes of a garbage national chain. Paying $40 to $50 for a medium frozen Gino's or Giordano's seemed the only resort left to ever get a taste of real pizza at home. Then I stumbled on Sam's.
If you have pizza standards there is NO WHERE ELSE THAN SAM'S in all DFW and quite possibly all Texas or all of the south. I just finished my first slices (and a bite or two of an awesome Stromboli I only ordered as a backup). Three years here without a fresh, hot slice worth eating... the deep dish was fantastic, the thin... incredible... I nearly cried.
