just there
This place is a good choice if you are hungry and you want a quick fix of Falafel, Kebabs, or any other Middle Eastern "fast-food". But with all of the new Middle Eastern competition popping up in the Dallas area, Grand Cafe will need to make a few adjustments to their menu, service, and ambiance if they want to remain in business. I don't know if it is different now, but these are my experiences from about a year ago. The place is dirty: the bathrooms and the floor. The bright floresent (sp) lights don't compliment the dirty place either. The decoration is poor and could probably use more colours. If you don't care about the way it looks, and just want good food, know that the Humus isn't bad. They can be stingy on Pita bread. Try the Lebanese garlic sandwich - now that is good. You can tell that they are trying hard to make a good meal, and it usually is good, but it by no means is lavish, and I wouldn't go there on a date or with a group or take someone who has never had middle eastern food. It's good to take your kids or bring back a falafel sandwich, but call first cause it take forever to make stuff there. You can also order the water pipe for 5.00 or so. The prices are good.
