Compari's Italian Restaurant
Our family immigrated from Forino, a small town in southern Italy less than an hour's drive from Naples. The Avellino region is well-known for its warm hospitality and rich, homemade food. In our many visits to the hometown, we have enjoyed wonderful dining experiences with family and friends. We hope to bring that same experience to you as you dine with us at Compari's. We are all dedicated to providing you a great dining experience and appreciate your patronage.
As of August 2012 Compari s is now under new management...again...and this time THEY GOT IT RIGHT!!! My wife and I have gone to Compari s for many years and have enjoyed the first class service provided by Dustin. Fortunately with the new ownership Dustin is still on board providing great food and fantastic service. The menu is smaller now but we believe the food is even better and more back to the original Compari s standards. The return of their salad bowl is the way to start any meal at Compari s. The hot bread is better than ever and so far, everything we have tried on the menu is delicious. You have to try their appetizer Crab Claws...the best. I have enjoyed several dishes and so far my favorite is the Manicotti Mare dish. It has been a pleasure meeting the new owner, the food is great and the service is fantastic. Go to Compari s in Plano...you will be glad you did!!!
Compari s Italian Restaurant has reopened under new management.
We have brought back Compari s original concepts like the bottomless big bowl salad and homemade salas dressing along with the garlic butter for our bread. Please come join us for lunch and dinner!
Well boring food no taste no flavor rude people. If you like that kind of thing by all mean go.If you like me and tired of slop this place calls italian food then go to a better place. They have no clue on how to make food.
Compari's is a great place to eat. Discovered Compari's about a year ago and have been a regular ever since.Food is really good with huge portions! My husband and daughter love the bread and I'm a big fan of the Fried Calamari. My favorite dish is probably the chicken gemelli and my husband loves the tenderloin. My daughter always orders the baked ziti. Service is always friendly and attentive. Compari's is the best Italian restaurant in Plano.
Love this local restaurant. Not too noisy. Low key. Decent prices and some of the best sausage and peppers I have ever eaten. Moved here about 6 months ago and was introduced to Compari's by a co worker. I eat there for lunch about once a week and always feel full and happy. Good service too. I appreciate a place that remembers my face and says nice to see you again. Keep up the good work Compari's!
I recently tried out Compari's Italian Resturant and I must say I really was pleased. My husband and I went with some friends last weekend and had a enjoyable experience. I ordered off the weekend chef specials and Tenderloin was featured, it was excellent! My husband had a spicy shrimp dish and that also was great. The atmosphere is cozy and the service was friendly.Needless to say I will be returning to Compari's. :)
My god do i love this restaurant. I love their food, their prices. The owner came to talk to us told u about few things in the menu. Nice man
I totally recomend this restaurant. With this economy Compari is the place to be
NOT WHAT IS USED TO
Salids not longer in bowls. Must order by individual plate. They have changed house dressing. Not as good as old dressing. Was told by waiter that their former dressing vendor went out of business. So, they don't make their own House Dressing.
Ordered a salid with my Brunch order. Was told it was $1.50. After placing order, was told it couldn't be sold with Brunch for $1.50. Now cost would be $3.25.
Food was good, but had to wait a long time for the check. Paid in cash. Waiter took payment and took orders from a huge table before bringing my change. Waited 10 minutes for my change.
Noticed their business has dropped off considerably for Sunday lunch.
