LA Margarita, Irving

Fabulous dinner a couple of weeks ago. From the guac to the pots' de creme (dessert) it was excellent- and great service too!

I love this place. It's a small little hole type restaurant in Irving, TX. It's always packed. The atmosphere is warm despite it's popularity. The food is well priced for everyone, and the food is delicious and generous.

One of the Food TV network shows recommended that if you would like to enjoy good, authentic non-chain restaurants, look no further than strip malls. La Margarita is a great example of this. The front belies an upscale Mexican food experience. They have an excellent bar (albeit a bit small for the Friday/Saturday night crowds), with a very capable waitstaff. I recommend anything with fajita chicken or beef: the nachos, the enchiladas, all very tasty, and well-presented. The salsa is good; although I have had better, it does taste very fresh. Overall a good experience for a sit-down dinner.

It is good to go with your partners. It is a good service and good drinks.

From the outside of the restaurant you may actually miss it. Located in a small strip of shops this little Mexican restaurant will surprise you. It's interior is small but roomy enough for small group dining, and the atmosphere is pleasant. It's very tastfully decorated. The food is excellent for the price with some dishes on a gourmet level. Their menu is well rounded for just about any type of taste or diet demand. You'll also find the restaurant quite busy on most days, so you may want to plan ahead on the more typically busy nights like Fridays.

This place is located in a shopping center on Belt Line Road near Irving Mall. It is priced about the same as any sit-down restaurant and has great service. The chips are always fresh, never greasy and the hot sauce is flavorful without being overwhelmingly spicy. Enchiladas, Fajitas, and Flautas are their best items. The Watermelon Margarita is quite enjoyable. Worth trying when you're looking for authentic Mexican food that won't blast your tastebuds out of your mouth. The desserts are large enough for two to share.

first impression--SUPERB!: went there for the first time due to convenience. we'll go back again and again for the taste and the value. the food is delicious, salsa zingy, service excellent. i can kiss the long drives to oak cliff for the real deaql bye bye. it's here! Place eventually went downhill. Only the tortilla soup to recommend it. Major disappointment and best waiter is gone too. Clayton alone was reason to go--very attentive and helpful.

One of the best places to eat Tex Mex in Irving. Come in on a Tuesday and get an Enchilada Dinner for $4.99. Superb wait staff and excellent service. You won't regret it.

Superb food, service and atmosphere. La Margarita is the epitome of Tex Mex food in Irving. Keep up the good food and service and we'll do our part!

I have been a long time customer of this place. The food is great and the employees are friendly. I highly recommend this place to all.
