Floor is carpet and distinctively sticky. We came in around 3pm on a Thursday, a few people were inside. Service was decent but tables were un-bussed. Chicken Chimi was terrible but chips and salsa were good, as was home-made flour tortillas. Food was comparably priced to OTB and others. Will not be going back. If you want better ambiance better atmosphere, try Los Lupes on 183 near Beltline / Story.
the worst mexican food i have ever had smelly dirty carpet dirty bathrooms smelly dirty bathroom i think there was pee on the floor some woman working there smelled from BO yuk ! nachos were stale and cheese was nasty tasting dont do it
My family and I did not like it. The waitress was friendly and attentive. The food had no taste except for the jalapeno. My daughters would not eat because the food was too hot. Too expensive. Not worth the money to eat for sure. Complaints fall on deaf ears. It cost $18 for 4 non alcohol drinks. We will never eat there again. We spent $62 on dinner and had to go through the jack in box drive through for something that tasted better. Do yourself a favor go eat anywhere else.
I LOVE Danal's. I've been going there for about 8 years now. I love the salsa!! Which to me is a deal breaker for a Mexican restaurant. If the salsa's no good, I don't go back. It is very colorful. The lunch specials are great. If i have water with my lunch I can get out of there for about $5. The cheese enchiladas are marvelous as is everything else I've had there.
One of my favorite places to eat…flour tortillas, salsa, queso flameado, chile con queso, fajitas, flan, margaritas--all delicious!! I've been a customer for years and have yet to be disappointed. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food, a great atmosphere, and excellent service, try Danal's.
I was at the Grand Opening of Danals about 15 years ago. They had free Margaritas and a wonderful Mariachi band.It is just a small place in a worn out strip shopping mall, but Mangers Jaimie and Ceasar have always been so gracious. I heard Jaimie is still there. I did live 3 blocks away and found I could have Beans, Rice and a Margarita w/unlimited tortillas , warm outstanding hot sauce and chips for less than $6.00. This was a time where that meant a lot. Still does! Fast service and a perfect order you don't always get. They have some terrific waitstaff, but some don't always understand you when you want to special order, but they try hard. I have never had a bad Margarita here though. They use Real Lemon, Triple Sec and Clear Tequila. I can't drink anymore because of my health and I miss this Margartita most.
Their food is great. Simple as that. It just depends on what waitress you get because some of them are extremely rude. But if you ever meet the owner, be prepared to be treated with the best of manners.
I stumbled upon this wonderful Mexican food when I first moved to the Dallas area in 1983. I've been going ever since, even though there are a lot cloers. this is the BEST! I've never been disappointed. In my opinion, Danal's has the best chili rellenos anywhere around. Atmposher is great, price is good, and great tamales to take home for lunches at work.
