We drove over to Steak Kountry and discovered the building was for lease....No need to comment any farther..

Horrible. This place has really gone down hill -- I don't know if it's change in management or what. The hostess is a real "hag" -- no personality and not customer friendly. Rather go over to Golden Corral.

For the price, there's nothing else like it. They have the BEST chicken fried steak in town! Very friendly service, great selection at the food bar

since they stopped serving the salad bar with the steaks and give you the "small dinner salad" it's been going down, and offering beer and wine didn't help. They should give you the option of a large dinner salad and let you serve yourself. It's sad, been going there since '83 and now I'm looking for another steakhouse, and boy do we have a few up here in McKinney.
