We ate there and a person in our party broke their tooth on something in the salad. The so called Manager said she was lying. I tried to call the owner, for weeks and he never returned our call. Horrible business practice, Horrible customer service. The person who broke their tooth was a Professor not some kid trying to get away with something. Beware...
This place is awesome! When I go in with my service dog, they greet me with the knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities law. Once I let them know that my dog is a service animal, they allow us to be seated. Their food is awesome. Do not let the name scare you, because they have some of the best pizza in the world! (Yes, I have had the opportunity to travel to more then just the Quah- In fact, I was raised in Germany as a Militray Brat).
My family and I visited Sam & Ellas because I read so many good reviews about their pizza and plus my coworkers bragged about the place. It is a small restaurant near Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK. We ordered a medium big and sloppy pizza. I was surprised at the price of the pizza. It was almost $16. I thought this better be the best pizza I have ever eaten for that kind of money. I have to say it was the best pizza I have ever eaten. I was impressed by how good the pizza was and the service was good as well. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was not that busy. I will most certainly return.
I ordered some takeout there on 8/16 and it took 45 minutes for me to get my food even though the place wasn't busy. The reason my 2 sandwiches took so long is because, even though I told Kellie at the cash register that I would be waiting right outside in my truck and that if she would wave at me to come get my food, my food sat on the counter for probably anywhere from 20-30 minutes before Kellie finally remembered me. She then had a fellow employee bring my food to me with no explanation or apology for the delay. Upon immediately examing my sandwiches both were cold and the melted cheese had become hard. Needless to say I won't be eating there if that is their idea of customer service. Too bad because the food is good.
I am a regular customer of Sam N' Ellas Chicken Palace. My family has a standard order of arti pie (not on the menu: pizza with chicken, artichokes, spinach, jalepenos, onions, mushroom...) salad, arti toast and sausage pizza. It is a great, laidback place that we love to take friends to. Mostly we just crave the arti pie. Highly reccomended.
Simply the best pizza I ever had. The service and food is excellent!
I go there several times a year after floating the Illinois River. The portions are huge and I always need a to go box :o) I've noticed that some people complained about rude teenage wait staff. It's very surprising to me, because I have always been greeted with smiles and prompt service at S&E. The atmosphere is laid back and matches the concept of a college town hang out. If you expect stiff, tie-wearing waiters go to a 5 star $100/plate restaurant. If you want great food at a great price in a relaxed atmosphere Sam and Ellas is a place for you. I wish they'd open one in Tulsa :o)
