Kettle Country Cafe, Tahlequah

I have eaten at this cafe several times over the past year. During the last visit, I looked at the appearance of the dining room and was appalled. Only one window had a non working miniblind. It had food splattered all over it. Then I began to look around. All of the windows in the dining room were filthy. They had not been cleaned in a very long time. The table tops were marred with initials and had imbedded cayron wax in the scratches. The chairs needed to be recovered. After looking at the dining room, I wondered what the kitchen looked like. The food was only so. There were several people in the party. An order of a waffle came out so hard that it was hard to cut and the charge for that one waffle was about $5. One person had hot tea with a refill and was charged twice for it. But, coffee is a bottomless cup. Why the difference. The biscuits seemed to be the canned kind, not the flaky type that are served in McDonalds and other fast food restaurants. This cafe could be an asset to the area. We won't be going back. thanks
