Silver Flame Steakhouse
At the corner of 61st Street and Sheridan in South Tulsa sits the Silver Flame, one of Tulsa's best steakhouses and a popular stop among business travelers. In business for over a decade, this is the only steakhouse in town with live piano-bar entertainment. The food here is served with a unique Middle Eastern flair. A house specialty is the Silver Flame Steak, a filet mignon specially prepared with peppers, onions and seasonings. Seafood and chicken are also featured, and seafood specials are offered at market price. A full bar and complete wine list is available to complement your meal.
SILVER FLAME IS THE BEST. WELL, NOW, WAS THE BEST. THEY CLOSED DOWN. I CALLED THE OTHER WEEK, HE SAID HE NEEDED TO TAKE TIME OFF AND ENJOY LIFE. I ASKED WHERE ON EARTH I COULD GO THAT WAS AS GOOD. HE WOULDN T SAY. I IMAGINE, CUZ THERE IS NOWHERE AS GOOD AS SILVER FLAME. MY HUSBAND, MY KIDS, AN I AR HEARTBROKEN, WE VE BEEN GOING THERE FOR 20 YEARS, BACK WHEN THEY WERE AT THE FARM SHOPPING CENTER, MY SON WAS A BABY. THE OWNER WAS ALWAYS OUT GREETING GUESTS, REMEMBERED FREQUENT CUSTOMERS, SMILING. WAITERS WERE TOP NOTCH, WOULDN T LET YOU EVER GET HALFWAY DOWN ON A DRINK. ALWAYS CLEAN, AMBIENT, PIANO PLAYER, BAR THAT DIDN T SKIM ON THE WHISKEY. I AM JUST BROKEN UP ABOUT IT. AT FIRST WE DROVE BY AND IT SD REMODELING AFTER FIRE, BUT THEN RECENTLY WHEN I CALLED, HE SAID CLOSED FOR GOOD. THAT AND THE CLOSING OF DRUG WAREHOUSE IS ALMOST TOO MUCH TO TAKE IN 1 YEAR. SO PEOPLE, IF YOU KNOW ANY STEAK PLACE COMPARABLE TO SILVER FLAME, PLEASE TELL ME, I M DESPERATE TO KNOW.
Visited on a Tuesday night. Not busy at all in the non-smoking section. The Piano Bar/smoking section was rocking. Smoke smell does not transfer at all, however I could see through the glass door separating the two areas, and the smoke was HEAVY.
The service was excellent, and they hit you with the following free appetizers; cabbage roll, bread with tabouli (sic?) and hummus, vegetable platter, and a single smoked BBQ riq, and something that looked and tasted like SPAM. Spam thing was undelicious and weird, although everything else was superb.
I have eaten in many steakhouses across the US & Canada. I had had the Silver Flame filet med rare and ware very impressed by the tenderness and flavour for the price $22.
One of the best steaks I've eaten.
The ambience leaves something to be desired and appears to be from the late 80's or early 90's. Go there for the food, not the atmosphere. Mahogony's in Tulsa is where to get that.
Overall, very satisfied with the quality. Possibly the best steakhouse in OK, for Steak.
I FIRST WENT HERE FOR LUNCH, THEY WERE BUSY BUT GOT TO US VERY FAST, THE OWNER STOPPED BY AND CHECKED ON THE FOOD IT WAS VERY GOOD. I HAVE SINCE RETURNED FOR DINNER WHICH WAS FANTASTIC. THE STAFF WAS FRIENDLY AND THE STEAKS WERE VERY GOOD. SORTA TIGHT THO.
