Ricardos Mexican Restaurant
Established in 1975, Ricardos is a Mexican restaurant, specializing in Mexican salad and spinach quesadilla. Located in Tulsa, Okla., the food joint offers a plethora of food items in nachos, appetizers, dinners, light fare, low-carbohydrate choices, lunch specials and many more. Its menu include regular nachos, soft tortillas, Chile con queso, guacamole salad, Mexican potato cheese skins, Mexican potato chili skins, chicken tortilla soup, burrito, Spanish rice, refried beans, pasta verde, low-calorie platter, burritolata and mini burritolata.
When I think of Ricardo’s, the word “quaint” comes to mind. Located on 41st, between Sheridan and Yale, it is a hidden treasure. With a beautiful and artsy place setting, Ricardo’s offers authentic Mexican food at reasonable prices. The restaurant itself is a unique place to dine, and the meals are delicious and again quite authentic in my opinion. Ricardo’s is a wonderful alternative to the generic restaurant changes across Tulsa and offers a more personalized experience. Try any of the main dishes and prepare to be amazed. If nothing else, the guacamole is simply to die for. Step inside and take a private retreat to Mexico in the streets of Tulsa. Tulsa Food Blog Staff - tulsafoodblog.com
Very good food and service. The drinks are great. I like the tall booths that block views of people around you. It makes it feel more private instead of like having a group dinner with an entire restaurant.
I have always liked Ricardo's. I can't count how many times I have eaten there over the years. One suggestion for them would be to serve beans on the side without having to order it as a side. Beans are cheap, it wouldn't be much added expense.
If you like bland, tasteless food, then this is the place for you!
They served the worst chalupa I have ever had, just a bit of overcooked
hamburger covered with melted cheese on a tostada. The chili releno was so overcooked it was hard to chew. I will not be back.
I love the dinners here. My favorite place to set is upstairs. The lighting is more dim, the tall booths add privacy. Each table has a punched tin hanging light that looks neat. The service is always good. I never have to wait long.
I love the sauce on the enchiladas. I buy a combo meal and get a chicken and a beef enchilada with the chille relleno. The service is always great. The orders are taken quickly, and the food comes out hot. The drinks are good too.
The salsa at Ricardo's is just the way I like it - medium - not too mild, not too hot. It tastes so good and is just the right thickness. The chips are great. I wonder if they make them or what because no one else has chips like that. They come out warm, but absolutely no sign of grease. The burritos are good, the enchiladas awesome! The chile relleno is the best in the world. Ricardos is my first choice for mexican restaurants in Tulsa.
My favorite Mexican restuarant in Tulsa is Ricardos. They start you off with complimentary chips and salsa. The dinner plate comes out fairly quick. The portions are generous. There is plenty of sitting room in the large booths. The food tastes so good Ricardo's is my first thought every time I am hungry.
I cannot stand the food there. I know a lot of people are huge fans and really don't go anywhere else, but I just don't understand it. The meat was mealy, the beans were bland, and I just wasn't impressed. Yes, the prices were great, but if I can't get great food for that price, I'm not going to stick around.
