After reading the reviews (5stars) I decided to take my family last night to Ricardos. Lets start with the rating above, it does not even desreve one star. Ok on with the rest of the night...Chips were out of a bag and over salted, and the salsa is only a can of Rotel style tomatoes. When we asked the waitor about the salsa, he said "yeah, I don' like it myself....sorry" We then inquired about the Queso dip and he said "it was a small portion and was not worth the money". We should have know right then to get up and walk out but I guess curiosity got the best of me, for their famous chili rellano. We all had Tacos, Enchiladas and a Chili Rellano. Taco meat, absolutley NO FLAVOR and the shell is on Isle 4 at Wal Mart. Enchiladas were the worst I have ever tasted and the Chili Rellano was WEIRD! Over fried bread type crap wrapped over a tiny chili covered in Cheeze Whiz or Velveta?? WTF! We were so hungry we just ate the crap, but did not fear to let the waitor and cashier know about our visit and distaste for the food. They never even offered a discount or a bag to later yack up the load of cheeze whiz we all ate...Trust me, with over 20 years of serving my country and being all over the US and the most of the South America...This is NOT MEXICAN FOOD! SAVE YOURSELF SOME MONEY AND GO TO TACO BELL, OR TACO BUENO, they both tatse better. Ricardo.....I WANT MY $46 back. Fraud!

I think it was possibly the worst mexican food I've ever eaten. The salsa had no flavor and they screwed up the order and it was not very good food.

I guess they call Mexican food anything that is served with tortillas because that is about all it is. I've tried the fajitas and the meat is very bland and served luke warm. I have been there 3 times trying to find something edible.. but nothing seems like it is fresh made not even the salsa which is not tasty at all. The food really taste like something from a Banquet TV dinner only more expensive. If you are looking for fast food then I guess this is as good as any..but not close to authentic.

ok i dont really like mexican food. But i LOVE ricardo's. The food is great.. yes some times they mess up your order but who doesnt? The staff is always very nice. We always go to ricardo's when our family out of state comes in, and they love it! I recommend it, expecially to families.

I have been eating here since I was a child and now I bring my kids here. The food is still terrific and very consistent.

I have eaten here a couple of times and the food has been wonderful, service is great! The Chili Relleno's are the best in town.

I like the way Ricardo's food tastes. The chips and salsa are the best anywhere. They are warm and have no grease on them. The margaritas and the sangria swirl is yummie!

The food tastes so good at Ricardo's. The prices are in the medium range, and the serving portions are average. They bring out all the chips and salsa you want before the meal. The chips & salsa taste great- served warm too. The meals come out hot and fresh. The service is good. The waitress is always right on time.

When I think of Ricardo’s, the word “quaint” comes to mind. Located on 41st, between Sheridan and Yale, it is a hidden treasure. With a beautiful and artsy place setting, Ricardo’s offers authentic Mexican food at reasonable prices. The restaurant itself is a unique place to dine, and the meals are delicious and again quite authentic in my opinion. Ricardo’s is a wonderful alternative to the generic restaurant changes across Tulsa and offers a more personalized experience. Try any of the main dishes and prepare to be amazed. If nothing else, the guacamole is simply to die for. Step inside and take a private retreat to Mexico in the streets of Tulsa. Tulsa Food Blog Staff - tulsafoodblog.com
