Last time my wife and I went, the air conditioning quit working, shortly after we were seated. If you've ever been to one of these places, you know how hot it gets. 20 minutes later, it was about 90 degrees in the restaurant and everybody was sweating. (to the point where we contemplated leaving). It was so hot, that the chef asked us if we wanted him to make the fire volcano with the onions, and every single person at the table said NO! The owner was very very rude about it, and unwilling to compensate anybody in the restaurant, despite 100 complaints from customers. It was the most ridicuous thing i've ever seen in my entire life. I WILL NOT EVER GO BACK. (mind you i've been eating there for 15 years, and have probably been 50 different times). Osaka is waaaay better, and the service is equally better. We have also found the new Asahi, in Bixby to be wonderful aswell. Save yourself the time, and money, and go somewhere that cares about their customers! Osaka on Peoria is where i'd reccomend!!!

I love going to Shoguns. When we first took our little boys, the 2 year old broke a glass all over the grill, and my 5 year old freaked out! The management and wait staff was amazingly patient with us! They had us switch grills, they even carried all of our stuff for us. The cook even helped me seeing how I was 7 months pregnant at the time too! I will always love that place!

This was my first visit to Shogun, and it will definitely be my last. Our reservation was made days in advance, but we still had to wait over 45 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. We waited another hour before our cook even started preparing the food. The waitress bringing us our soups & salads was borderline rude, and at the end of the evening was casually tossing trash on our table. I wish I were joking about that. When we received our checks we were shocked to discover a gratuity had already been added on. When we addressed our concerned to the owner, he was very dismissive & rude. He refused to remove the gratuity, and threatened to both call the cops if we didn't pay our whole checks and charge those checks to the person who made the reservation. I can say without a doubt that I've never received such poor service at a restaurant before, nor have I ever seen management less concerned about the wellbeing of their patrons.

I've been going to Shoguns for over 15 years. I first experienced the place as a young child and I was awed by the flames and the tricks. Now as a young adult, I still believe it is one of the best Japanese restaurants in town. I have tried several other Japanese steakhouses in Tulsa, Norman, and Portland. None of them compare to the expertise and flare that many of the experienced chefs have at Shoguns.

Evenly priced with food quality, fun show and better food. A great atmosphere that is different than anything else in town.

Spent a ton of money for no entertainment and mediocre food. My filet mignon was not even cooked to order. Our chef needed a lot more practice and some personality. He threw food all over the place and took forever. Most chefs cook most of the protein at the same time (minus the appetizer shrimp) but he did it one at a time so by the time I got my protein I had waited over 40 minutes from the last food item (appetizer shrimp). Further more there was a huge gap between our salads and our chef even showing up (30 minutes) that we had to sit there and just wait and watch other tables chefs basically come and go. Very disappointing!!! I would contact the restaurant but it seems to be a custom of asian restaurants in not wanting a customers opinion nor caring if they are pleased. I believe that Osaka's is much better (at least they have a "show" even if same every time). The food is better as much cheaper! My filet mignon was only $16 at Osaka's where it was $22.50 at Shogun and Osaka prepared it like I asked!!

Our family has eaten here several times - unfortunately we have found the food to be average at best and the "show" to be again... average. Most recently we have found that the service and management has become unbelievably poor to the point of making the dining experience frustrating. If you are looking for a fun evening I would recommend just about any place else.

Hands down one of the best restaurants in Tulsa. I would suggest the cook Paul.

The chairs are terribly uncomfortable and they crowd 9 adults into one table, you are shoulder to shoulder and can't even enjoy your meal for the discomfort of the chairs and the overcrowding.

Amazing place to eat! I recently ate here for my best friend's birthday with his family, and its gotta be my favorite restaurant experience! The chefs are very nice, funny and EXTREMELY skilled at their jobs. I forgot it was a restaurant sometimes watching the fancy cooking, right until they placed the next delicious piece of food to eat in front of me! Keep up the great work Shoguns! I'll be back again, and again, and again!
