In business for more than 50 years, this steakhouse in midtown is one of Tulsa's favorites. The atmosphere is upscale and darkened, but both casual and formal dress is appropriate here, and most people, from business associates to couples, find something to like about Jamil's. Chief on the list of menu items is a wide variety of steaks, ranging from the popular Small Filet to the colossal 40-ounce Porterhouse steak . Lebanese hors d'oeuvres are presented with every meal, and a full bar is available to complement your dinner.
I have been going to Jamil s for over 40 years and I have yet to be disappointed. The food is always cooked to perfection and the staff is always very friendly. I have and will continue to recommend this restaurant to friends.
After many years of late night dining, NO MORE!!!!! Cabbage roll, baked potato cold, humas runny, steak flat & tough, atmosphere terrible, need I go any further. And this was on a Tuesday night about 7:15
NEVER AGAIN !!!!! The restaurant has been going down the last several years. Tonight we took friends there for our anniversary. It was 108 degrees and no air conditioning inside. We were all sweating.
They had no ribs, no pickles. Ordered a medium rare prime rib it had no pink whatsoever, told the waiter who is from San Francisco and he did not offer me another one until I told him he should of and then I had eaten 1/2 of it. By the way did I mention the waiter spilled the hot aujus in my lap and offered no towel, or anything to help. I doubt anyone in that hot restaurant will ever go there again.
I love to go to Jamil's. I have been married for 25 years and we go every year on our anniversary. I love the appitizers and the stakes. The new place is not as big as the old one but the food is still execellat. I highly recommend this place to eat
Terrible. They burnt my steak and set it down for me to eat. When I say burnt I mean burnt black charcoal edges, there was no actual flesh. I know this because I bit into it. The lighting is terrible, how unfortunate for me. I sent it back. I waited and waited and finally 30 minutes later I flagged down the manager because my party was ready to leave. I asked that they remove the charge for my steak. So he removed the steak and instead charged me for the hors d'oeuvres they opt to give their customers. Which you would have to pay for if you don't order steak. I explained that I did order steak and it wasn't my fault if they burnt it and my party was tired of waiting and wanted to leave. He REFUSED to not charge me for the the hors d'oeuvres and proceeded to try and make me read they're policy. I can see if I ordered the hors d'oeuvres but this is something they bring everyone I never asked for them. They opt to provide them as part of the dining experience. So I paid for these because they brought me a burnt steak. These were shared by everyone like a appetizer. Everybody in my party ordered steak. I will never ever eat here again. The hors d'oeuvres were terrible to boot. The service was non existent. We had to flag down someone every time we needed something. We also had to ask for things twice several times and once didn't get what we asked for. DON'T EAT HERE!
We went to this Restaurant for my Birthday and it was a Awful experince. First off it was very very hott in there they wernt that busy we asked several times for the manager to turn down the air he would just tun it down just a little we were all sweating and we had a baby with us who was very upset sweating as well we asked our waitress to get the manage 4 times! We even seen her tell him to come over and talk with us and he refused! REFUSED! what kind of manager does that!! Several people sitiing by us was very upset as well he would not turn the air down so we could get cool what a JERK! we have a very expensive ticket the manger only took 10 dollars off the ticket that is insane ! we were not looking to get a free meal we go there alot but i will assure you this is the last time we ever fo to this restaurant this manager treated us horribley!! never again!!
Jamils is a good place to eat. i give it 4 stars only because it's a little small and you have to wait for over an hour at times to be seated. i think the bad reviews mostly come from people who are not used to a dark atmosphere and probably went when it was very busy. i do not eat out much at all. i go to jamils about 4 to 6 times a year. i have never had a problem with any of their staff or services.
Been coming to Tulsa for 4 years now and Jamil's has always been the first stop for dinner. The hickory smoked steaks are the reason. The appetizers which come with the meal offer something for everyone.
